Came here for Father?s Day dinner. Staff was friendly and gave great advice on the various pasta dishes which we were grateful... for as everything sounded amazing. It turns out, you really cannot go wrong. The traditional Carbonara was amazing (but rich!),short rib (Manzo) was fabulous, and the mushroom ravioli (Funghi) will be remembered in our taste buds until we return to haveit again! The smallest pizza size is very very generous. The virgin-style crust was puffier than we were expecting, butfabulous. There is a very pungent smell of cigarette right when you walk in, it was very unpleasant. Our host was very kind and got our... table ready even though we didn?t have a reservation. I do recommend making one ahead of time because it seemed to get very busywhile we waited for our food, which was a very long wait. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive, and we got there beforethe rush started. Our server was professional and friendly, she checked up on us often. My family said they wouldn?t come backbecause the food was okay but not great. I, however, would come back for the Shrimp Scampi, aside from the strong garlic flavorand garlic pieces, I actually enjoyed this dish. We also got a tiramisu for desert and were extremely disappointed. It was verydry and thick, and lacked coffee flavor, I do not recommend the tiramisu here. This place is amazing! didnt have a reservation and was able to get seated within minutes. this is a teeny tiny VERY cozy... restaurant nestled in a cute little neighborhood. the food is incredible! we had the calamari as a started. SUPER crispy andflavorful. came with two sauces. the main courses came with soup or salad- salad and bread which was also very yummy. i had thegnocchi and got a side of meatballs. the gnocchi was so delicious- sauce was super creamy and was loaded with mushrooms. YUM!the meatballs were extra tender as well and truly mouth watering. my partner had the salmon with risotto. the salmon had a crispcrust from the cook, and soft and delicious inside. the risotto was a little funky/ different but still PERFECT!! not tomention, they had a non-alcoholic beer which was a great find for those who are recovering/ not drinkers! love this place. wewill definitely be returning very soon! Terrific food and cozy atmosphere at this neighborhood restaurant. Highlights included the carbonara, the meatball appetizer and... the garlic bread (with marinara dipping sauce). The crispy kale really complemented the sweetness of the butternut squashravioli. The Oregon pinot noir we ordered was perfect with the meal. Read more
What a great restaurant! I had the Scampi and it was absolutely delicious. The pizzas also looked phenomenal and I plan to... head back soon. The service was great and they helped me navigate the menu to find the best dish for my tastes. Theenvironment was dim and cozy and I would definitely recommend Tenuta?s for date night. Read more
Every single dish (6 different pastas and 2 appetizers) was phenomenal! If I didn't live in California I'd be there weekly! So... glad my brother lives in wauwatosa and I can come when I visit. This is my second time going and it still was delicious withzero disappointment? Our server was ok, nothing above and beyond. Kinda felt like she was ready to go home. Read more
