Holy. Smokes. After a long day of touristing and walking essentially all of downtown, my daughter decided she wanted pizza. We... happened upon this shop, and I am so glad we did! The pizza was absolutely phenomenal. Hot, cheesy, great flavor with awood-fired charred, airy crust. We'll be coming back on out next trip up!! Read more
If you like Napoli / true Italian style pizza this is the place that you don't want to miss! That was one of the best Italian... style pizzas I ever tried. We ordered three pizzas for the whole family and each one of them had a unique taste and was superdelicious! I wish other pizza places were as good as this on in making quattro formaggi pizza! Don't worry that this place hasonly one bar table as a sitting option (on photos). You can take your perfectly cooked pizza and eat it in the lobby of thehotel right behind the cafe. Read more
Entered just for a quick bite. Pizza was small but delicious (14$). Nice friendly stuff etc.... BUT! The great thing about this... place is that it is located in an "art hotel" where you can visit art galleries for free, and do many things apart eating Pizza????))) works late, so a perfect solution for those who lost in Milwaukee downtown at night. Flavor of the food was really good but my pizzas were undercooked. Had to put them in the oven when I got home and had to pay to... park in a nearby ramp as they had no space reserved for pickup orders. Good food but that particular experience was not worththe hassle. Read more
I've lost track of how many different places I've eaten pizzas?every vacation or road trip, etc. If there were only one thing I... had to eat for the rest of my life, it would be pizza. ;) That said, this was excellent pizza. Eating out in the hotel withgreat beer and ambiance made this a killer spot to go on a date. I can't wait to go back again. Read more
Highly Reccomend Today my buddy and I stopped into Proof Pizza for the first time, Chef Tim and Marty greeted us immediately and... their customer service was fantastic very friendly, enthusiastic. We ordered the Proof specialty pizza, and the Genoa pizza bothwere incredibly flavorful, do not let the gas fire fool you, the crust was perfectly light and crispy not too heavy a perfectlunch pizza. They are 10 inch pies they only have 1 size so getting 2 for 2 people was perfect plus you get 2 flavors. Theatmosphere is an open kitchen concept, extremly clean very fresh ingredients. Read more
Great tasting pizza, just a bit soggy for my liking. I prefer a crispier crust along the entire pizza, I ordered a margherita... pizza and it was pretty watery. Pizza topping dripped right off and caused the crust underneath to be wet, if that makes sense.But overall, the presentation was amazing, SUPER quick service (the quickest pizzeria I've ever been to), and despite the pizzabeing a bit watery it still tasted great, Ill just have to ask for well baked next time! The pizza at Proof Pizza is delicious! It was just the right size for 2 people. 6 good size slices. I had the sausage, mushroom... and tomato build your own pizza. The mushrooms were quartered, not sliced. The regular salad with the balsamic glaze dressingwas good also. Again, enough for 2 people to share or a main meal for 1 person. We had to sit in the hotel bar area because therestaurant was closed for seating. But that was ok because you could look around and see alot of the art work in the hotel whichwas a 10 out of 10 on the interesting scale. Such a great experience. Can't wait to go back again soon.
