This happened a while ago (June 27th, 2021) but I still thing it?s important to share. I came here with my friend and we were... REALLY excited as we had always wanted to eat here. We entered the restaurant the moment they opened the doors, the wholerestaurant was empty. Before being seated I was asked my full name, address, phone number, and email address. We proceeded to besat in the worst seat in the whole restaurant despite the whole place being empty. We asked to be seated somewhere else and weremet with a disgruntled attitude. I didn?t think anything of being asked all that info (besides it being a little strange) untilI brought it up to a family friend. I called the restaurant and asked ?do you need to provide your address to eat here?? They ofcourse said no. I was racially profiled by Mason Street Grill. I was so excited to eat here and now I can?t think of theexperience without it putting a bad taste in my mouth. We ordered $200 worth of food and tipped $50. The food was great, ourwaiter was great, we even had a great conversation with a group of women sitting next to us who liked our outfits. I don?t knowwhy I shouldn?t be given the same respect as the old white dudes who eat here. Is it because I?m brown? Is it because I havetattoos? Is it because I?m in my early 20s? Is it because I was wearing baggy jeans and a t-shirt? NONE OF THAT SHOULD MATTER.THERE WAS NO DRESS CODE AND IF THERE WAS I WOULD HAVE GLADLY FOLLOWED IT. Honestly makes me so upset to know that no matter howhard I work in life I will be reduced to down to the way I look by some racists host. Anyways, great food but consider goingsomewhere else if you?re a person of color or don?t fit the agenda of old rich white men. Thanks. Read more

The atmosphere is wonderful with nice jazz music, leather seats, and wood trim. Our waiter was extremely nice, very... knowledgeable about wine, and quite the conversationalist. What was the kicker was the overpriced food. The Mac and cheese withbacon cost $20 for a single serving, however it was very good. Also the food was rather hit or miss. When it did it, it wasdelicious. The seafood gumbo was the best I've had north of Kentucky. However the tomato Creole served with the undersizedportion of striped bass tasted like bland salsa. If you're looking for decent barbecue ribs, this is not the place. They'reoverpriced, overcooked, boiled, sad barbecue ribs. Even the complimentary bread was a weird mixture of sliced pumpernickel Iwould expect in a German beer house and unleavened I'd expect at Passover. Probably won't be returning for the $60/lb steakseither, but perhaps thats not fair, since it is a steakhouse. Read more

Do not waste your time or money here! The environment wants to be fancy but felt stuffy yet trashy at the same time. The food... was mediocre at best and overpriced. The menu was so basic and nothing felt worth the price. There are so many bettersteakhouses in town, try any of them but don't go here. The biggest red flag and the reason I will only give 1 star is thedecor. My husband shared photos of the decor in the men's restroom. They are extremely misogynistic and sexist (see photos). This is unacceptable. Read more

An icon of fine dining, Mason Street Grill by far does not disappoint. First is the decor. Designed like the classic 1920's... supper clubs everything from the lighting to the immense amount of wood and brass, the environment takes you back in time.Second is the service. Saying that the staff is accommodating and pleasant doesn't even come close to scratching the surface. They begin to dote on you from the minute you sit down to the time you get up to leave. And finally, the food. The flavors andtextures will leave your senses reeling. With fantastic aged steaks and delicious seafood you cannot go wrong with anything onthe menu. Mason's is a spot you must try if you are looking for a romantic night out or a place the gang can get together. Read more

Had a really good experience dining here. Got the burger- and it is delicious and very high quality. My wife got steak and it... was excellent too- very good quality meat. The drink selection is good- wine and beer selection is goof and they make goodcocktails. Very nice design and good vibe. Staff are friendly and provide good service. Also, this place is reasonably priced. Read more

I had the fish and the wife had New York strip. Atmosphere was spot on. Couldn't have had better service. Our disappointment... came with the food. It was very under seasoned. The asparagus was hard and tough to eat. Mac and cheese was watering. The Fishwas bland and very small portioned. The wife's steak was fantastic. We don't mind dropping 250 for a great meal, but we haveactually had much better for half the price. Probably will choose to go to Carnivores the next time. Read more
