This place is awesome! Best burgers, fries & custard. Period! On top of that, their customer service is top notch. Was there w/... my son today and something on our burger order got messed up so manager came out to apologize and he said he was giving us aQUART of custard for the extra 10 minute wait. They didn't need to do that but my kid was blown away and so was I. Love thisplace and happy it's in our neighborhood! Read more

Incredibly friendly staff and an amazing burger topped the way you want, and cheese fries so cheesy, you?ll have to rake through... it with a fork to find the last few fries. I got a double bacon cheeseburger ?garden style? (or was it ?salad style??) (becausemy skin can?t handle that spicy bread), and a small cheese fry. I really needed a good burger and a friend recommended Fred's. Parking was a bit challenging but we only had to walk down about... seven houses. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The burger was definitely worth it the short walk, though. It tasted likegrilling in the backyard on a cloudless 73° Labor Day, except your celebrating on Sunday so you find comfort in knowing yourfood baby will be born before anyone notices. While the soft serve was tasty, I'm not sure if it is really frozen custard. (Yes, there is a difference!) The ordering system... is kinda strange - you order outside and they bring your cones/dishes out to you while you wait outside the door. The insidelooks kinda disorganized - we almost drove by because it looks like it's closed even though the neon sign said open. And they'reonly open Thursday, Friday and Saturdays... I understand if they have other jobs that prevent them from opening more hours butthen hire someone to work a couple of days a week! Not sure we'll be back anytime soon... which is sad because we like to go tosmall local businesses! Read more
Burgers are really good, from the bun to the seasoning of the patty!!! Fries are also good!! Chicken tenders are regular -... nothing too special. Custard is also pretty good - in my opinion the custard is better then Culver's but not better then Leon's(that's top competition though). Only downfall is there's outside seating only but the food is worth it! And it's great for amade to order grab and go. Read more
Fred?s is the best place in my area for burgers. Way better than most of the famous burgers in the city of Milwaukee. Alex and... Sam are phenomenal at running the business. Alex always remembers us and what we usually order. I always get a delicious andfresh burger just the way I like it. It is so juicy and tasty. In fact, I love it so much, when they opened for the season thisyear, I was the first person to place and pick up my order. I eat here at least once a week and usually twice a week.
