I was searching for a new breakfast place and chose Allie boys based on the reviews. I regretfully have to report I was not... impressed. Overall the setup is like an old style basic bagel joint, but the menu is very expensive. $9 for a basic breakfastbagel with egg bacon and cheese. The bacon was high quality, but the bagel tastes strange. I requested an everything bagel andthe toppings were good but the texture and taste of the bagel was not normal. I don't know what they're doing there. The servicewas mediocre, and The atmosphere was very blah. I requested the sharp cheddar with everything bagel and it cost me $12 for asandwich! I'm a displaced New Englander raised by 2 new yorkers and can easily give Allie Boy's my seal of approval. Their bagels are... springy and flavorful, and their flavors are nice and straightforward, none of this funky trendy bagel stuff. They have a ton ofdelicious shmears available. I personally would prefer a thicker bagel crust, but other than the bagels are still 10/10. Theyhave plenty of yummy, chic drinks available for any time of day and they have a ton of breakfast options. Outdoor seating, barseating, and friendly staff! Read more

The initial sticker shock was rough but it was so worth it after seeing and tasting the food. I added cream cheese and took off... ketchup for this egg and cheese. The bagels were soft and had a nice crust, the amount of egg was twofold and extremelygenerous, and there was two different cheeses as well. The coffee was spectacular. If you?re in town you need to go here, and beprepared to leave full (and happy). Read more

Tried the Egg & Cheese with Sausage and wasn't super stoked. The Sausage and Egg didn't have tons of flavor as if it was heated... up from being frozen. Tried a plain bagel as well, hopefully you enjoy lots of cream cheese otherwise you'll end up scrapinghalf away. Read more

Posh noshes indeed! We had the Egg & Cheese with sausage and hash brown latke (not pictured), the half Tomago Egg Salad tartine,... and the half Chopped Lox tartine. The Tomago Egg Salad tartine is really nice. If you aren't a fan the ocean-y smell of thefurikake is strong, but it balances so nicely with the green onions and egg salad. The bias sliced green onions are beautiful,but I think they don't distribute enough green onion over the entirety of the tartine. Personally I would like more and perhapssmaller. The egg salad shifts, so be forewarned that this is not a dish that is easy to eat elegantly! The Chopped Lox tartineis awe inducingly good. I was concerned that the inclusion of kumquat would draw this in a sweeter direction, but I'm so happyto have discovered that the folks at Allie Boy's have resisted the urge. The kumquat is the perfect citrus-y note in thetartine, at once surprisingly delightful and so well composed it tastes as though it should have always been around. Awesome spot for breakfast, brunch, or a light lunch. The bagels were crispy and not too dense, very similar to New York?s. They... also have a good selection of flavored cream cheeses. My crab Louie salad was delicious, they used plenty of sweet tenderDungeness crab and did not overwhelm the delicate flavors with too much dressing. The fried artichoke hearts were a nice touchand paired well with the other ingredients. Highly recommended if you are in town and looking for a light yet delicious meal. Read more
