We ordered a custom pizza online for delivery. The pizza was below standards. It was soggy and didn't feel like the toppings... were cooked well. What's worse is that both me and my husband fell sick right after. Would not recommended this place as thereare far better ones. Also it is exorbitant for the quality. I paid $30 for a medium pizza. Usually we are a huge fan of Pizza Nova. Great food, great service. Unfortunately, the last 2 times we ordered, our food has... been under cooked and cold. We have ordered a large pizza - Brushetta. The taste was not to our expectations at all. It seems that the pizza was done well,... but the taste was horrible.. could be the ingredients or something else, don't know. Compared to the typical bruschetta ,nothing in common. We had literally two bites and put the rest of the pizza aside. The next day called the client services tosee if they can do anything so that my money does not go to waste. They have offered $5 off form the next order. Question: whywould I order again if I did not like the product!? totally waste of money. Very disappointed with the customer services andthe product. Impeccably clean restaurant. The food is excellent and the customer service is friendly and professional. I go there at least... every other week for a slice (or two) - depending on how snug my underwear waistbands are becoming. So why the mediocre review?I will explain: 1. That fraudulent "open till" method of collecting cash from a sale? They conveniently add the 13% HST (evenif they have to pull out the flour-laden calculator from under the counter "seeing as how the cash register is not workingproperly today" to compute the amount) and then use said calculator to calculate your change? See? They pocket the HST. Ourgovernment(s), both federal (5%) and provincial (8%) see none of that money. Hey, I'm no choir boy myself...but if you're goingto conduct business with an open till, just charge me the base price for the pizza slice without adding the HST (...which you'regoing to pocket at the end of the day). That's Number 8 of The Ten, is it not - "Thou shall not steal"? 2. The "walk-inspecial ingredients gyp". I'm a recent addict of that Honey Stinger pizza slice. It's rather spartan in terms of number ofingredients but it packs a flavourful punch! Instead of pepperoni...Calabrese soppressata salami slices! And then the pizza isdrizzled with this home-made honey/hot pepper oil. (I'll include a picture of the addictive stuff.) It is delicious! So...Ithought of ordering a pizza, a walk-in special, with precisely the same ingredients. It ended up sort of tasting the same...butman oh man did they ever skimp on the ingredients! Some slices had no salami on them at all! How come the individual slicestaste so good? 'Cause they're almost five bucks each! (See that picture below of that mouth-watering Plain Jane pepperoni sliceIhad today? See how much pepperoni they put on it? Do you get that many with a walk-in special?)
