I can?t express in words how much I love this place. The food here is delicious! It?s literally at the top of my list for the... best Chinese food. Especially the prawn egg foo young. I grew up eating egg foo young at various places around Chicago. My dadand I bonded and shared what was going on in our lives over egg foo young. So I know a few things and eaten this dish almostmost of my life. This is the best. I order it with the prawn fried rice. Extra nice! The Kung pao was delicious!! The perfect amount of spicy. Definitely has a kick to it. Highly recommend. The crab rangoons were... a bit too sweet and the wontons were under-fried. Based on this order, I do not recommend them. Read more
Was very excited to have Chinese food that had flavor! We?ve been trying place after place and been disappointed until we tried... Yan?s Cafe. It is take out only right now due to help shortages. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and one of my sons had the GeneralTso?s chicken and both had the pepper next to them to indicate spicy?. And they actually were! It?s been a long time since I?vehad any Kung Pao with a kick! My other son tried the Terriyaki chicken and he said that was very good too. Unfortunately ALL of my food had bugs in in it today. The broccoli in the lo mein, vegetable soup and rice all covered with... knats. A shame because I used to like them - but won't ever be coming back. Make sure you look at your food before eating here,as they clearly have a very serious bug problem. Read more
Great food! My family really enjoyed everything that we had. My one remark other than everything tasted great and the pick up... was quick and easy is, I typed in the special request section of the online order saying no mushrooms we are allergic, and therewere mushrooms in the vegetable fried rice. I was so impressed by this place! As soon as I opened my container I knew it was going to be good. The shrimp king pao was... delicious! Spicy and the shrimp were large-not greasy like many Chinese spots. I prefer peanuts in my Kung pao but it was stillvery good. Large lunch portion. The egg drop soup very well seasoned. Good and fresh quality food. I?m so glad I found this spotand look forward to trying more entrees. Update: I?ve since tried 3 other entrees: sweet and sour chicken, chicken pan friednoodles, and shrimp and vegetables. Each dish was delicious and flavorful!
