We celebrated my son's birthday and enjoyed everything there! The food is delicious, the stuff is very nice and friendly. We... took red snapper with risotto , lazzania, pasta with meatballs, beet salad and everything was so tasty and fresh. We will beback for sure and will recommend to our friends to try it! I don’t usually take the time to review restaurants, but this experience was so bad it deserves to be shared with potential... patrons. We came here for dinner with 4 adults and 3 children and were seated immediately as the place was completely emptyaside from one other table of 2. We even called ahead to check on the wait and make sure they could serve us as it’s dinnertime on a Saturday. We placed an order for drinks and appetizers along with 2 kids meals since we knew our hungry children wouldneed food quicker. Everything came out very fast and the food was actually pretty good. We then waited over an hour and neverreceived any of the 4 adult entrees. We had wait staff coming to “clear the table” and had to remind them we had not yeteaten. We were told the food was “almost ready and would be right out”. After another half hour and grumpy bored children weasked for the check and to take our “almost ready food to go”. Upon receiving the check, we continued to wait and wait untilwe couldn’t anymore. We requested our remaining food order to be cancelled and voided. The food to begin with is massivelyover priced and after we essentially walked out without dinner we still were given no discount. 5 stars across the board - food, drinks, ambiance, and service. We had such a great experience. Cocktails, apps, and pizza were... delicious. Even our 7 year old (who is a super picky eater) ate his kids ravioli in record time and already asked when we couldcome back. A huge shoutout to our server, who was the nicest, most accommodating, and attentive server we’ve had in a longtime. Unfortunately for us we live nearly 30 mins away but we will most definitely make it a point to drive out of our way tocome back. Read more
Place is not that good. Food is not great, portions are unreasonably huge for one person. Also they were out of most things... (sausage, peppers, romaine) on a Friday night…I don’t know. I had carbonara and this is not what carbonara is supposed totaste like. If I had to choose I would rather go to Crust. This is too bad as mondo is walking distance from my house. Read more
Charlotte, James and Joe are amazing!! I came here for my birthday dinner with friends and family and we were treated very well!... I love the family owned theme and everyone working there really care about their customers. Terrible, terrible service. We called ahead and asked if they could handle our party of 9(two families). They said yes. They had... one party in the adjacent private room (15) when we arrived but the dining area was empty. Waited 50 minutes for the firstappetizer to arrive. (Two meatballs) Was told the kitchen was “overwhelmed.” Was told the rest of the food would be “rightout.” 20 minutes later. Nothing. The restaurant was at less than 20% capacity. The wait staff seemed fine; clearly thekitchen is the issue. What kitchen takes an hour to make a meatball for a mostly empty restaurant? One hour and 19 minutesafter we were seated the second plate arrived. And then several dishes including a plate of severely dry and over cooked salmonand one “blackened pizza”, otherwise known as burnt. After one hour and 35 minutes after arrival our table had still notreceived all its orders. Yes, watching the clock had become our entertainment as we waited for food. And then a few disheswere served to the table behind us who arrived well after we did. Ultimately a couple of dishes were missed and they took thoseoff the bill. We have been here a few times over the past several years. It has never been the fastest restaurant. But this wasbeyond awful. They did apologize at the end, but doubt we will ever be back. Read more
This is my first time eating at Mondo Italian Kitchen. I was truly pleased with the hospitality and customer service. The food... was amazing! They close at 9:30 p.m on Saturday. I called to ask if it was too late for me to come since it was already 8:45p.m. Whoever answered told me I could still come and I wouldn't be rushed out. I was pleased to hear that. The atmosphere wasvery rustic and chill. My waiter was named Taylor and he was absolutely adorable and very accommodating. I ordered a few itemsto give a good review. The Veal Saltimbocca was perfect! My San Genaro pizza came with Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, andonions. My taste buds were quite happy! I also had parmesan zucchini french fries and garlic bread without the fondue. I mustadmit those were great as well. My Mai Tai cocktail was quite enjoyable as well. They had a cute little board that you can signyour name so they absolutely knew that Jewel was there! Highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you so much for your wonderfulservice. Read more
There was one other table and maybe 2 or 3 at the bar when we arrived around 5:30. We waited quite some time to order our... appetizers. The zucchini and garlic knots were mediocre. The garlic was from a jar. Our waitress disappeared for about 45minutes and gave an excuse that the bar was keeping her. We thought about leaving at that point, but were hungry, so we stayedfor the main course. My husband ordered the farfalle with chicken. The chicken, my husband said was not so good. I had theseafood risotto, which I thought was pretty good . That was probably the best part of the meal. Not even a water refill until itcame it was almost tip time. We will never go back. Read more
