Got the mini idly and the lunch thali. Mini idly was good although the sambar could be a little more flavorful. We got the lunch... thali on their recommendation, I'd say it was not worth it. I wouldn't get it again. Even though they have a couple of tablesoutside, it is definitely more of a takeout place. All food comes in takeout containers (not an issue at all) and they don'thave restrooms or drinking water. Read more
We were visiting our cousin and got a lot of hype about this place. Tried their breakfast on Aug 07. We tried their idly, mini... idly, medu wada and pongal... everything was fresh, hot and tasted like home made. Sambar was piping hot and amazing. The food here tastes like home cooked meal. Been there twice and was satisfied both times. The meal portions are sufficient and... the price is affordable. They do not really have seating and offer only take out. But there are a couple of tables outside. Thedownside is their menu is not very customizable. We got the Idly Vadai Combo. Got the order in few minutes. We got 2 of each. Idlis were nice fluffy and big. Medu Wadas were... tasty. Sambar was awesome!! Chutneys were perfect. Read more
Some friends recommended this as one do the best South Indian places around, and everything here was delicious. They?re doing... to-go only these days. Do not skip the vada! Just so good. Want to say thank you to the sweet employee who overheard it was mybirthday while I was getting take out, then went out of her way to call us back in and give us a full size dessert! Read more
There was a lot of hype about this new restaurant and I am happy to report we were not disappointed at all. We ordered the mini... podi idly, mini idly with sambar (not on the side, the soaked in sambar version), it tasted exactly as it would at any home inChennai, just so good. Apart from this we picked up 3 curries and a rose milk. Yes, we got greedy! All of them excellent tasteand quality. I highly recommend this place. Quick and easy pick up if you order before hand.
