Loved my dinner, chicken melanese, husband got veal Parmesan, one piece was good, then other not so good!

Perucci's restaurant has earned EVERY five star review they have received..! I made reservations for my wife and I to celebrate... a special event. We were seated as soon as we entered the restaurant. Our waitress (MacKenzie) was top shelf..! My wife and Ihad no sooner placed our order and it arrived so quickly that I thought the waiter had the wrong table..! The meal was simplyincredible- we had homemade manicotti and it was by far the tastiest manicotti I have had , at any restaurant, I've ever eatenat - hands down...!! Atmosphere was romantic, and the background music was absolutely perfect. I feel the prices were in linefor a restaurant of this caliber, if not even a bit less expensive than they should be. We are locals to the area, and havealready made plans to take two of our neighbors that are seasonal. Perucci's is EXACTLY how an evening out should be with adate, wife or significant other. Back again our waitress is very attentive but served me pasta after being told that I am gluten intolerant. My chicken Marsala... is good but not great. I am someone who enjoys sitting at the bar. This has eight seats, a vibrant bartender and server named Dianne and am... opportunity to chat about the food, the clientele and the history of the restaurant and its evolution. The restaurant in its move to a larger location closer to Bethany seems to have left some of its charm and normally spot-on... service behind. We dined frequently at its previous location and tried its new one, located behind the morning buns bakery on26th. The locale lacks the charm and intimacy of the old building but understand need for space. The food was pricey for whatyou got: I ordered fettuccine carbonara a reliable standard - portion was small, a bit too thick with the sauce for 26.00. Theveal scallopini with Marsala (wine reduction ) sauce was excellent but pricey at 32.00 and lacked in presentation (spooned overa mound of pasta). The service. Recognize all restaurants short staffed. A little training goes a long way. Pls don?t call yourcustomers, ?You guys?. Pls don?t ask if we ?are still working on it? when we are clearly mid way thru meal. (we were probablythe last seating so why rush us?). Repeatedly came by to ask that, at one point while one of us was still eating to ask if ?youguys want a box for that?. For a 135.00 meal it could have been a bit more gracious. This place is just absolutely amazing. We are here from Cleveland Ohio for a baseball tournament. My wife researched a few... places and we landed here. Ok, let's start with fast seating. They have an extensive authentic Italian cuisine. Our waitress,Gabrielle, was prompt and very knowledgeable in helping us with all of our questions about the details of each of the items weordered. The atmosphere, ok, enough. Just go check it out. I guess there are 2 locations because another family/teammate went tothe other with similar results.
