Chicken parm sandwich was huge and delicious, their take on a caprese salad with the roasted peppers and olives is awesome too!... The shrimp was really flavorful and well cooked. Bartender was very friendly and the facility is sizable with plenty of TVs andseating. We just moved to the area and are looking forward to making this our regular spot! Read more
I went last night with some friends in honor of National Pizza Day -- GREAT choice. We all agreed the pizza was fantastic. ... Thin crust, cooked to order ( we asked for ours to be well done but not burnt) super crispy, cooked to perfection. All theingredients were fresh and tasty. One of my friends ordered the Caprese salad it was loaded with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes andolives. We also ordered chicken wings w/ sweet chili sauce...finger licking good ????????. Our waitress Carol was AWESOME. Super friendly and professional, more waitresses need to be like Carol. She told us AvaLena\'s has a Super Bowl Specialconsisting of Pizza, Wings and a bucket of beers. If you give AvaLena\'s a try, I don\'t think you will be disappointed. Every plate that went by looked really tasty. PSSSS..... We did get a tip from Carol....we have to come back and try theirKentucky Bourbon Burger because she said it will melt in our mouths! Ug, I hate to write reviews about bad service, because I really do appreciate any server who shows up to work these days. That... said, on a Saturday night, I see no one who looks like a manager present, I see just 2 servers, and every table is filled. Donot seat tables if you’re not staffed to serve them!! I would rather you tell me it’s an hour, 2 hour wait, then getterrible service. Food served was not as described on the menu, salad came with the main entree. I will not go back, maybefor a drink and appetizers, at the bar, IF my friends insist we go. If you’ve been opened a year, you need to figure outyour Saturday nights.
