Reviews for The Lazy Lobster in Milford, CT
Just reading through some of the reviews to get an idea of the food. No doubt that the lobster rolls are great here. Many people... have left great reviews. As a business owner myself, I like to support great people and great local business owners and thefeedback from the owner on every negative review was very condescending and arrogant. Not someone I would support. You?re goingto get bad reviews here and there, that?s the nature of business. Maybe you should try and respond in a more professionalmanner. Just some friendly advice from a successful business owner. Read more
They run out of everything! If you are going to go....go early even on a week day. More than half the food we wanted to order... was sold out before 5. The lobster rolls were tasty but very pricey. It was nice that they had a few tables and chairs to eatoutside but most of the tables were broken and very unstable. One pro is they are right next to a really fantastic ice creamshoppe. Read more
Great traditional New England Lobster roll? over all good? little less butter and maybe a drop of salt/lemon would be better.... Bread toasted was outstanding. Little pricy $$$ however for a ?shack? type atmosphere. Glad we tried ? Read more
Pricy but WORTH EVERY PENNY. Cute shop with adorable staff. The lobster rolls were as fresh as they get. My husband wasn?t going... to get one but I?m glad he changed his mind because I did not want to share. Coleslaw was delicious too, and I?m not usually acoleslaw fan. Read more
Pricey at $32 for a lobster roll but it is by far the best in CT that we have had. Big chunks of lobster, toasted roll dripping... with butter and home made coleslaw that is different and delicious. Outside dining but tables are limited at only 7 or 8.Friendly staff. Order inside and they deliver outside to you. Read more
Seafood cooked in butter? Bread soaked in butter? I am SOLD! The baguette is toasted with the right amount of butter - not too... greasy like you?re just eating butter. There?s still that crunchy texture from the bread. The portions are also big so webasically shared the food. They were not stingy with the meat and lobster on each sandwich either. I always like my seafood withNew England clam chowder if it?s available, and it was so I got a pint of it. All it was missing was some garlic bread to dipinto the clam chowder. I ordered the lazy lobster roll, crab cakes, the ribby roll, shrimp po?boy, and a shrimp cocktail. Myleast favorite was the crab cakes. The sauce was a little too sour for my taste but by itself, crab cake was bland. The shrimppo?boy was probably my favorite. It was seasoned perfectly and the shrimp was not over cooked. The lazy lobster roll wasn?t badeither but smaller size compared to the other sandwiches. The ribby roll was mixed with potatoes and just the right amount ofbarbecue sauce. Again, the clam chowder was good. Very creamy and sandless (lol). The shrimp cocktail was one big shrimp but thesauce was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would most definitely come back and revisit. It?s also BYOB anddon?t you know it, the next block is a liquor store so guess where I went to get my drinks and bring back to The Lazy Lobster?
