Reviews for Café Zermatt in Midway, UT
For how nice the resort has been I was honestly really surprised at the lack luster service and quality of food. The breadsticks... were bland and pizza was only a slight improvement. When I saw they had a bar I asked if I could get a beer and was told theydidn?t have a barkeep for the night. Who doesn?t have a barkeep on a Saturday night during dinner? Needless to say I was prettydisappointed. Read more
Skimpy portions today. We?ve been here 5-6 times and we know the portions are large enough to share. Today?s meal left something... to be desired. It was about half of what we normally get for the same price. 3 stars because the food is good and they weredoing the best they could with it being so busy for the holiday. Read more
This just changed into a pizza place and they basically only serve pizza now. So you can disregard the previous menu! Not giving... as many stars because of extremely long wait times. It wasn?t even that crowded when we arrived and by the time we got our food, more than an hour had passed. Multiple people came after us who got food before us and some of them had even left by the time wegot our food. We waited forever for anyone to take our order, bring us food, and bring the check. Finally, we went to the frontarea to pay because this process had taken about 2 hours from us arriving and just eating a pizza. We didn?t feel like apriority and no one checked on us at all as we kept waiting and waiting. It was much too long of a wait, especially since therewas only a few other customers there. The pizza was okay- I really enjoyed the crust and unique pizza options. However, I don?tthink it was that incredible. I?m not sure that I?d recommend people coming here now. A bit disappointed, especially where weused to love what was previously Wildfire Smokehaus, along with its menu and service. I miss the ribs, wings, meats, and all thefoods they once had here! This was a delightful find for lunch. The ribs were meaty and done to perfection. The pulled pork was chunky and nicely spiced.... The side bean dish was spicy and savory. The sauces were excellent. They don't exactly have a wait staff, but the young lady atthe front was helpful and served us promptly. We also had the amber beer, which was perfect. Read more
Just sat down to eat our food in front of the fire tonight. Smokehaus recently changed their menu to more of a grab and go for... to go orders or order your food and sit down and eat cafeteria style. No waitresses etc. I guess it makes things simpler foreveryone? The pulled pork and chicken were very good with potato salad. I?m gluten free so it was nice that they had someoptions, although I wish they had more. Hubby had brisket with fries, beans and cornbread. He said the meat is tender andfalling apart. Not too fatty. Good job Smokehaus! Read more
We own a 2nd home in Midway near Zermatt and the smell of smoking meat takes us to Wildfire Smokehouse. We have a hard time... heading back to the valley without dining in their beautifully remodeled restaurant or grabbing a takeout order. The staff iswonderful and the service is fast and accurate. You can?t go wrong with anything on the menu. We?ve tried it all! Read more
Smoked meats are their specialty. Big portions... probably 1 "plate" is enough for 2. Had rib + meat combo with 2 sides. Brisket... was tasty. Also had a huge pile of pulled pork. Ordered too much but great leftovers. Served on a tray with paper? Went the nextday for breakfast. French Toast was great. Read more
I?m going to give this 5 stars because of CONNIE. She rocked the house, made things happen, and was super attentive. I felt very... important and she made me feel that way. Also, she looks like a young Julie Andrews. Lol Now, if it weren?t for Connie, we?d beat a 4* the food wasn?t too bad, but you know us Americans, we love our big portions. But I did enjoy how everything tasted. Thepotatoes I was really excited for but they weren?t as seasoned or hit as much as I?d like. Connie you are great. Read more
