This is a hard review to leave, because I have loved Barnes & Noble since I was a kid. I?ve been thankful to have a place to go,... peruse through books, and feel at ease. A big part of that experience has been the music playing in the store. I can only speakfor myself, but calm music really enhances my experience at bookstores. The music that was playing when I went to B&N thisevening wasn?t calming. It was basically club music. Pretty jarring when compared to previous visits. I asked the staff if itwas possible to change the audio to something more calming. I was directed to a manager who didn?t seem interested in engagingin any sort of conversation, let alone about what was playing. I asked him if he?d be willing to change the music selection, andhe said he?d ?look into it.? I thanked him and left to glance through some of the books. Fifteen minutes later, nothingchanged, and I wasn?t willing to spend more time in a place where the music was so distracting. This music would have beenperfect for a shopping mall. A bookstore? Not so much. I wish the manager had been more present in the conversation and hadn?tappeared so disinterested. I hope there?s more care given to the music played here in the future. Perhaps it doesn?t botherother people, and that?s okay. For me, it doesn?t make me want to spend time in a store that I really, really want to succeed. Read more
Staff is very approachable and willing to help. I always enjoy coming here. There are so many options of books, games, and other... small things. They also have an amazing cafe. Read more
My granddaughter and I enjoy looking at the books, various toys and seasonal merchandise while not being bothered every two... minutes. Great personnel and excellent customer service. Read more
Great selection when it comes to art supplies and games. I felt like there were almost TOO MANY options! Chose the store to buy... a coloring book for family in hospital, and to get them something to read while healing. Great staff attitude! This is a greatstore!! Read more
