There?s pizza and then there?s pizza. I stopped in after the gym to get 2 slices of cheese pizza and to check out this new pizza... place. Since they only had one slice, the owner made a fresh pie for me. As I waited a few minutes I walked around. There is anice dining room to eat in and they serve beer and wine. Very clean too! The menu seemed really great , cannoli, subs andmore, but I love pizza and am super picky?.I came for the pizza. As soon as it came out of the oven they sliced and boxed itfor me. It was piping hot! When I got home it was the perfect temperature and the absolute BEST PIZZA I?ve ever eaten. Thesauce was perfect with nice flavor, the cheese was delicious too and zero grease on the slices.The crust was perfect littlecrunch and not doughy. Simply the BEST PIZZA in town!! Seriously a true New Yorker making New York pizza doesn?t get any betterthan Jo-Jo?s!!! I?m going to dream about this pizza! Read more
Everyone thinks they know pizza. If you were born and raised in VA please simmer down. As a Born and bred New Yorker I know a... little something about pizza. Jo-Jo?s hands down is the best New York style pizza you will find in the state of Virginia!! Theowner also brings a sense of neighborhood that is reminiscent of my childhood. Hands down the best pizza in Richmond. Jo Jo's was always my go-to downtown and now I am really excited they have a second... location. I have been a few times since this location opened and it is as good as the downtown original. If you want a greatbig NY style slice of pizza, this is a must-try. Read more
I had been waiting for this location to open up for a while! When I went to VCU my internship ordered from the downtown location... and it was heaven. I ordered a large (16?) pizza half Buffalo chicken and half bbq chicken (and added Italian sausage) well doneand the pizza was as good as I remember. I ordered to go and the flavors were amazing and I ate everything down to the crust.The calamari almost didn?t make it home and my bf loved that they do all rings. The interior of the restaurant was spacious,clean, and inviting and looked like it could accommodate both small and large parties. The gentleman who took our order that daywas patient and helpful and showed us the variations in size with the pie pans. I?ll definitely be returning! Read more
Jo-Jo's Pizza was brought in to the workplace today. Best pizza around. Fresh, moist with extra cheese with the slices I had... which were pepperoni with extra cheese and a sausage pizza with extra cheese. Business professionals downtown and those of usin Chesterfield will love these pizzas. Definitely stop by their locations and support small restaurants. LOVE THIS PLACE! So, went to A N.Y. slice many times while they were open?saw Jo-Jo?s take over and was curious?been back about... every week since trying them! Pizza is delicious, chicken fingers and fries are an amazing deal and fantastic, onion rings arethe best you?ll ever have! Had a taste for some pizza and saw the great reviews. I tried a small supreme pizza. It came out hot and fresh. The center of... the pizza was a little soft, but the outer edges were nice and crispy. Really good flavor on the meat and sauce. It was a nicechange of pace from the other chain restaurants. Looking forward to going back for another visit. Read more
