We were super excited to try this place after we moved to Midlothian. First time was Doordash to our hotel, so we figured the... long drive made the food not that great....unfortunately that wasn't the case. Ordered take out today and had to wait an extra10 minutes after pick up time (no biggie, because we thought it would be hot). Open the food 5 minutes later only to see it wasmade incorrectly. We received 2 burgers with nothing on them (one was a Hollywood and a plain Jane), a chicken sandwich withnothing on it except a burnt bun, and soggy fries. Fried pickles, smokey burger with onion rings, shroom burger with fries ????. The service was great, even though we thought it... was table service, it was obvious we are first timers. Despite our mistake one of the staff brought us a menu and then we walkedup to order. PSA: the water is horrible in Midlothian. So avoid the tea. The soda was good and they do offer bottled water.Needless to say, a rainy day, two great burgers, one very understanding staff member, and a switch from tea to soda and abottle of water made for a fantastic Sunday. Outstanding burgers! The person from whom we ordered was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was Pepsi products to drink,... but I got iced tea. The tea was very good as well. All around great place to get a burger. Read more
Best burger in town, hands down. There's usually a small wait when you come in but it's always worth it. Fries and onion rings... are great. Not very many places can compare to this spot. They have really good homemade fried pies as well to end a great mealwith something sweet. Read more
This was our first time my wife and I went. We checked the google reviews and the 4 most recent reviews ranged from 3 months to... a month. There were 2 low reviews and 3 4/5 star reviews. The 3 star or lower reviews were online. I did see a couple that saidthe wait time was long but they were a few months older. My wife is 7 months along and she was hungry and didn?t want to keeplooking for a place so we ?rolled the dice? and went. The setting is nice has some wood varnished tables with Texas licenseplates. I noticed on arrival there was a table who had their drinks but no food. There was one line for ordering. There were twopeople in front of us. When it was our turn we stepped up to the counter and the cashier didn?t say hi or welcome us she turnedaround and walked away. As we we continued waiting she talked to a food prep person and then returned and asked what we wantedto order. She didn?t have a good customer service. When I handed her my card to pay she grabbed it from my hand quickly. Shealso charged us for one fountain drink and we both ordered waters. We waited 25 minutes for our order, the people who I sawwhen I first came in said they were waiting for more then 30 minutes. After speaking w/ the cashier as I later found out was theranking person because a supervisor/manager/ owner were not available, she told me they had a lot of online orders and a lot ofin person orders. No sorry for the wait, let me get on this for you. There was 2 people in front of me and 3 people who orderedafter me. When I told her about the people waiting 30 minutes she said the same thing, I asked rhetorically if she thought itwas bad they were waiting longer then 30 minutes and she said yes but didn?t seem to care. After I spoke to her my wife and Iand the other people waiting 30 plus minutes finally got our food. Nice environment and pleasant customer service. The fried apricot pie was flavorful and well presented. The fried jalapenos were... lacking. The ranch dipping sauce was so so. The basic hamburger was tasty, but a little small. I will try it again sometime withmy wife and see how things go. Pricing was fair. Public parking readily available. Read more
So many burgers to choose from the menu. The meat patty was huge and tasty. The bun was fresh but could have been just a little... bigger. Good variety of fountain drinks that's different from what you usually find. There was a short wait for the food butwell worth it. I'm definitely going back and highly recommend you check it out!
