I haven't been here in forever because the last time I was, the food was horrible. This time I got their candy apple pancakes... which were phenomenal! It had caramel and apple compote which was cooked perfectly. The pancakes weren't dry at all and I didn'teven need syrup. I got three strips of turkey bacon which I thought was kind of cheap for the price. This place is a littlepricey and you don't get a whole lot of food. For $11 it was just the pancakes. What a gem of a find. Everything about this visit was impressive. Every restaurant should be so blessed as to have such a... positive and professional waitress as Philamina. She was such a delight and only served to enhance our dining experience. Wealso loved feeling like we were decades in the past again. While the booths, flooring, and overall decor was clearly from somany years gone by, it was all in excellent condition and meticulously maintained. The cleanliness and attention to detail wereparticularly impressive. From service to setting, everything was excellent! Of course, we very much enjoyed the food. Thevegan bacon was especially impressive and would make for an amazing BLT. While we live quite a distance away, whenever we areback in this area, we will be sure to return to this fabulous find. I had gone here in the past and was very disappointed. I just recently went and I was very pleased. I had their caramel apple... pancake special and it was delicious! It had apple compote and caramel all over the pancakes. It wasn't overly sweet at all. Wasa little disappointed that it was just pancakes with no eggs or meat for that price. Exactly what a breakfast diner should be plus more! The service is kind, they make sure you're comfortable and have filled... beverages. The big deal for us is that they have normal breakfast options and VEGAN options, hence us being excited to return.Check the reverse of the menu for vegan breakfast and lunch options, and today in addition to my stack of vegan pancakes I wasable to get a vegan "bacon" option which is awesome considering my husband could get something completely reminiscent of theJersey Shore aka a pork roll omelette and regular pancakes! We enjoy a gym and friends in the area, so this is our go tobreakfast spot in the area. I truly wish more diners would add vegan options to allow a whole demographic to eat with theirfamilies and friends without having to make major substitutions or simply not eat. My baby had his first chocolate chip pancakes here and clearly loved every second of it. Also Terry is great. Just moved to the area and wanted to try this place because it?s so cute on the outside. We had a slight wait (due to the labor... storage) but nothing crazy. Our server was a young friendly girl, she was very attentive and was always there with a coffeerefill. The potatoe pancakes were super good along with the sunny side up eggs and french toast. We went for an early Sunday breakfast, despite very uneven reviews online. I thought it felt like a local version of Friendlys... or IHOP, solid but honestly nothing special. Our food was good, the service was fast, and the place seemed clean, but we'vediscovered more interesting places around. For these 4 meals, 2 small OJ, 1 large OJ, and a coffee, the bill came to almostfifty bucks. Read more
