I had never eaten here, but I love a good breakfast place. I was done work very late and appreciated that this was open 24... hours cause it's just about the only place since Covid started. I ordered waffles with peanut butter chips(on top, unsure ifalso inside) and peanuts inside. They were amazing! I also got the hashbrowns smothered style, which were really good. I hadtried to call for takeout, but there was no answer. I ordered when I got there and waited. They do charge a percentage forgetting takeout, I'm assuming that is due to the packaging and plastic bag. Seems that Jersey and Delaware are charging forbags if you don't have one, so I assume that's why. I think it was 20%. Read more
The Waffle House is a favorite of mine. This location is awful. The entire place needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. The... patty melt i ordered barely had any patty. The chili they served me looked very old like something out of a garbage can. Verydisappointed in the food. The staff did not greet anyone or call out the orders to the cook. I came at 2am and they locked the door in my face. They out a sign up saying they were cleaning and would reopen at 3:30 but... proceeded to sit down, laugh, talk and eat with friends or customers. No work or cleaning being done. What's going on? This isthe 3rd time I've come here and they ran to the door and locked me out while serving and talking to other customers? Is this 24hours or not? Wow, walked in and the 3 staff members just stared at me. I said hello and no one even responded! My ?server? mumbled the whole... time and never spoke to me directly or courteously. What a shame. This Waffle House used to be a nice place. But this storeneeds to be more friendly and treat the customers better. GO BACK TO YOUR TRAINING!! On a plus, the food was ok. Late night staff closes these doors when they want to. They also put ?Take out only? when they don?t feel like cleaning the... tables or want to be bothered. Actually, they never clean the tables when customers are inside. The cashiers seem to catch anattitude when I ask for my space to be cleaned. Poorly ran establishment. Here?s proof of one sign. I'd come back for the waffles and hash browns Food - it's a diner with limited menu, but I was surprised how good the waffles... and hash brown were. The waffles looked like the batter was thicker and the waffle maker seems to make them thinner than mostI've tried. You're left with a creamer proportion of crunch to soft inside. The hash browns were very tasty and crunch justright. I'd try well done next time. I'm not sure if they cut the potatoes smaller than other places, but theirs somethingabout how it's prepared that makes me want more. Ambiance - casual highway roadside diner Cost - inexpensive Service - the shortorder cook was on it and probably could have handled everything, but seemed like he was training a new waiter. It was an awful experience. Waffle was undercooked, grits where not done, toast burnt on one side and drowning in butter. The... bacon was overcooked. Went on Tuesday 11/29 10:45p. Will not go back. A waste of $17.00 Read more
