Had a nice visit here with several people. The menu is pretty large and offers many unique ingredients. The pasta dishes feature... homemade pasta and large portions. Although we didn't get the pizza, it looked really good and very "new haven-ish". The servicewas great and very friendly. The burger was just fair, so I'd skip that. The appetizers were decent. I thought the calamari wasa bit chewy, but had really nice flavor. The whipped ricotta with strawberry puree and honey was out of this world delicious. The penne a la vodka with grilled chicken was very tasty and the pasta was cooked perfect. The broccoli rabe and sausage pastadish was flavorful. The eggplant parm was massive. The drinks and craft cocktails were nicely made and priced fair. Overall, everyone left pleased and would hope to return again soon! Read more

This was a fun dining experience that I happened to come upon on a recent trip to Connecticut. Located quite centrally on a... main street in Middletown, Sicily invites you in for a great meal right away with a kind, warm greeting from their hostess. I'msure she must see and seat a lot of people every day, but her personable welcome made it feel like we were favorite regulars.Joey, our server, was also an amazing person to meet. He knew the menu well and made excellent drink recommendations. Though therestaurant had a lot of people out to dinner on a Thursday night, it didn't feel crowded or stuffy. Food and drinks werereasonably priced, as well as tasty and filling. I had the Sicily burger [not pictured] and the Rose Spritzer. The dinner guestsnext to us got this tower of donuts that came to the table with sparklers...we were too stuffed for desserts but it lookedpretty cool. If I'm ever in the area again, I will certainly come back!! Read more

Great happy hour place from 3-6!! Full size pizza only 9 bucks instead of 14. Had fried mozzarella for 5 bucks. Pretzels would... be better with beer cheese sauce, but they have honey mustard which we didn't care for. Service was awesome and prompt. Outdoor seating pleasant if you don't mind city noises and the occasional smoke walking by. Read more

This place was great! Loved the decor and the food was delicious. They offer you bread before the meal, although I do wish they... had some olive oil or butter with it instead of just the tapenade. There was some dueling music going on from two differentareas of the restaurant, which wasn't ideal, especially with the sound level, but we still had a fun time. The pizza wasabsolutely fabulous. I'm also looking forward to going back and trying their homemade pasta. The beer and liquor selections wereboth quite impressive, with a lot of local beers on tap. Read more

Just got to try this for the first time and everything was amazing. Even after a 20+ minute GrubHub car ride. Fried mozzarella... was super crispy and tasty, same with the fried risotto. Screaming Sicilian pasta dish was also very good. Even after the carride this was one of the best meals I've had in or out in a while. Highly recommend trying them out! Read more

Trendy atmosphere, great new haven style pizza. Love that crust! For many, a coal fired pizza is the perfect blend of... delicious charred flavor in its crust (still soft tho) and a clear natural flavor from all the other ingredients of the pie. Hey...we were impressed! We ordered drinks, apps and dinner. Nice selection of craft beers and creative mixed drinks. We hadCalamari and Whipped Ricotta for appetizers both were great. We shared 2 craft pizzas, the Coal Artichoke and Bianco bothgreat. The restaurant only takes reservations for parties of 6 or more. Busy place, bigger than I thought, lots of seating. Would recommend, will return. 4 smileys :) :) :) :) Read more
