Quick summary: strong flavors, very friendly staff, outstanding value for your $$! Came to Darius Grill on the suggestion of my... aunt and sister. Both of them raved about the skewers be out of this world. Unfortunately, I stop by for an early lunch(@11:40am) and there werent skewers made yet so I went with the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich mainly because I didnt want towait.The woman working at the time was very polite and friendly. She should give lessons on how to cook fried chicken becausethis was spot on for sure. Tender and juice meat with a wonderful crunch with the breading. Just perfectly cooked. The sandwichwas very generously topped with Cole slaw, pickles, and BBQ mayo. This was not a small sandwich. Overall it was a good sandwichthat leaned just ever so slightly towards the sweet side for me. The home made chips that comes with each sandwich were solid.Thin sliced well seasoned. I will say I kinda wish I had opted to dine in because both the chips and disco tots (which an orderof these guys is HUGE) both suffered a bit by getting a touch soggy on the ride home from the packaging steaming up andsweating. As a white boy walking in to grab a sandwich on a Sunday afternoon I was a little taken back, yet intrigued, with the music... bumping and the Sunday brunch crowd dancing and flowing. That being said, the food?oh lord the food. I had the Southern FriedChicken Sandwhich. Larger than my head and some of the most absolutely delicious bites of food I?ve ever had. Honestly some ofthe best fried chicken I?ve ever had placed between two slices of bread. The homemade chips were incredible, bought an extralarge bag to take home and snack on all night. I?ve instantly fell in love with this establishment! I?m proud to support thislocally owned Black restaurant and will go out of my way to support and visit many more times to come! Amazing food and really great service. The place certainly lives up to the grill name as the grilled chicken skewer was some of... the best I've ever had with both the flavor depth that permeates the chicken, tenderness, and juiciness. Tried all 3 flavors(cilantro lime, bbq jerk, sweet chili) and damn were they all so great tasting. Super good value as well with sooo much meat onthe skewers.
