Sports fan and like good food ? This is the place for you. Not to far off the highway. The appetizers were excellent and also... the salads. I wasn't impressed with the pizza, only because it wasn't my style of pub pizza. It was good don't get me wrong. Thestaff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommended can't wait to come back and try different things on the menu. And also thesports memorabilia is incredible. Fun place. Read more

My sisters and I went here for lunch on a Tuesday. We were surprised to realize we had been here many many times as children. ... Our entire family would meet here when it was Riverside Restaurant (Chicken Steak & Chocolate Cake). They've done a great jobkeeping the original layout, yet updating it as well. I went there with my dining companion on a whim as we happen to be in Middleborough. We decided to give the Boston Tavern a try.... We ordered the Arancini and the Fried Calamari as an appetizer . The Arancini were very flavorful but a tad over cooked. Thecalamari was mediocre as the batter fell off the fish and was soggy -not crunchy in any way. We then ordered the Steak Tipsbrushed with a sweet chili sauce which were very tender and delicious. The String Beans were cooked perfectly crisp-tender andthe Baked Sweet Potato came dressed with butter and brown sugar. My partner ordered the Fisherman?s Platter which was very good.A nice portion. Unfortunately once again though , the batter fell off the scallops and shrimp. The onion rings and french frieswere good. Found this place on google maps after a road trip. Took a look at the menu online and it did not disappoint. We wanted simple... American food. Got the 20 piece wings. 10 garlic parm and 10 sticky southern. Both were great. Burgers were tasty and perfectlycooked. Wife got the fish and chips and she loved it. Kids got the Mud pie and berry cheesecake. Both were good. Crust oncheesecake somewhat overwhelmed the taste.. service and atmosphere were excellent Read more
When I first discovered Boston Tavern I loved going there for lunch. The food looked and tasted home cooked and fresh. We would... go at least twice a week after work. After a few months I noticed the meatloaf wasn?t as good, and other things on the menu hadchanged. They changed their recipes and unfortunately wasn?t as good. We stopped going because there were several occasions wehad to send our meals back. I really love the atmosphere here, it?s cozy. I really can only give it 3 stars though because thelast few times we went we had to send our meals back. Also, they advertise a Chatham Lobster Pie, but it?s all claw meat, whichis very disappointing since the don?t mention that on the menu. Servers are always professional and friendly.
