I was actually trying to order online from PF Chang's, but made a mistake and order here, like I stated big mistake. I ordered... chicken Pad Thai, it looks delicious but had no flavor or seasoning, I also ordered the lettus wrap which were fresh but had noflavor. Spoiled tofu. If anyone takes anything from this review remember, tofu should NOT smell sour or rotten or have a funky taste.... Tofu SHOULD taste like a bland bean. The only time soybeans should taste and have a funky smell is when you're eatingNatt?. Second Pei Wei I've gone to, second bad experience, but this one was definitely worse than the first. Visited7/11/2022. Spoiled tofu. I've been a vegetarian for 15 years. I know what tofu is supposed to smell and taste like. The worstpart is that at first it was masked by all the sauce and I actually ate a bit. I thought I was just maybe eating a spice thattasted funky. I isolated the tofu from everything else and realized yup, it was the tofu. Fresh tofu shouldn't really have ataste unless you add something to it. Fresh tofu has an earthy taste and smells like a bean uncooked. Spoiled tofu smells sourmildly similar to rotten shrimp, just all around funky. You mean to tell me these chefs smelled that on the tofu and said "thisis fine". Ok I get it, I'll stop coming to Pei Wei. I wasn't even compensated the first time when I found FOUR pieces of hairin my food. All Pei Wei does is tell you to email them but they never get back to you. Has great vegan options! The firecracker tofu has delicious flavor and not really spicy. There are a lot of add-on options,... variety of tofu flavors, and sides.I found the edamame to have a taste of being frozen. I also found the price of the egg rollsto be a bit much. But good quick vegan meal with reasonable amount of vegetables! The lettuce salad base is a good/big sizedbowl. Read more
