I ordered from the Taft Street location for these dinners but both spots are good.These were ALL delicious. Fried Ribs with... This place was wonderful when they started, but today they were unrecognizable. I called to place an order, they no longer take... orders over the phone and suggested I place order online, which was also unavailable. I really wanted the chicken, so I made the20 min drive to discover that they no longer have the fried chicken, chicken tenders only, like a kid's menue. Completelydisappointed, having wasted time I asked to speak with the manager, after all, I was standing in front of a sign that said, "Didwe do something wrong? Our boss wants to know. Ask for a manager" I was then told that the manager was not there and there wasno indication when she might be back. How can we support your business, when you don't? What a lack of care! Starting good isok, but finishing well is the ball game. I guess you stopped caring. Came here for the first time and it was horrible! This plate was 20 dollars I first asked if they would be whole wings and I was... told yes and as you see they are not. Furthermore upon leaving after a 40 minute wait I bit a wing and noticed the chicken wasspoiled. I immediately threw up while driving. I was offered a full refund after I returned and complained. Came highly recommended for “real” American Southern catfish, from someone who know the owner. My family didn’t like it at... all, ended up making a run to Tom Jenkins to get their catfish fix! Although the flavors and spices were on point, everythingwas way too salty (except the limp/undercooked fries) and oily to enjoy…especially the rice, maybe drop the salt about 25%.The batter was hard on the fish and did not stick, just slid off, like when trying to batter frozen fish or using the wrong wetbatter combo. So today my husband and I wanted to try this place out. We went to the Pembroke Pines location. The jivin juice was delicious.... The chicken wings was ok, the fish and grits was ok we liked the fish but the grits was alright. I had the shrimp dinner thecollard greens and Mac and cheese needed flavor. The gumbo was not gumbo it was soup. Instead of white rice they gave the samerice in the shrimp dinner I think it’s called Cajun rice. It’s not gumbo without a roux and file or saffron. My onlycritique is that the music was very loud I had to keep saying huh to the cashier and I kept shouting to place my order. Themusic should be light not loud and shouting. Read more

The food portions are so generous it may take two days to eat it! We went to the opening of the new locationin Pembrook Pines and it was a party!!
