Reviews for Layla in Miami Beach, FL
As we checked in with our amazing host Alex at Kayak Miami Beach, we were welcomed by him and the LAYLA staff with celebratory... drinks for recently getting married. It was so kind of them to make a fuss. It set the tone for the night and made us feel socomfortable?? Thank you ?? The plants, decor, seating, lighting and soothing music really set the mood for us to unwind. Thestaff were fabulous at their jobs, with great service the whole way through the night. Now the food… DELICIOUS, NOSTALGIC ANDFLAVOURFUL. We picked the spice banquet for 2 for $45.00pp with service charge included of 20%. Great for first time guests. Itold the server of my dairy allergies and he tried his best to accomodate me by putting the dairy to the side and wastransparent with the ingredients in each dish. I highly appreciate that. We were so full and satisfied. We chose for theappetisers: kofte and the egg plant, for the main: lamb and chicken, and for dessert: hava white brownie and the date pudding. We would choose them all again. So delicious. Read more
A literal hidden gem, tucked away on the canal in the back of the Kayak Hotel. The service was impeccable, as I kindly asked my... waiter what his favorite dishes are and he expertly described the majority of the menu (bypassing that odd new qr orderingsystem) and it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere is tropical with iguanas walking around chilling on the patio. Definitely show up after 7p if you want to sit outside, the sun hits the patio something crazy. The food is delicious, and theportion sizes are fairly large so let your eyes be bigger than your tummy and take the rest home. Kudos, Layla. Read more
Amazing food and environment! The service was nice but not very patience with us. We were drinking and eating at our own pace... sharing plates but I guess he didn’t like that. Besides that amazing place would definitely go back! The place has anamazing terrace and front lobby/bar! Read more
Due to some travel changes, our group of 3 girlfriends stayed at Kayak for one night before heading to our longer term hotel... down the block. After a tiring travel day we headed to Layla for dinner. It was a completely lovely surprise, and it set thetone for the whole rest of our whole vacation! The setting is gorgeous. Trendy decor, tons of plants, super cozy, and right onthe canal. Max was our server, and he made our first night so much fun. Pretty much followed all of his recommendations, andlaughed a bunch. All of the runners, hosts, and other staff where so sweet too. We went back the next day for breakfast, andthen AGAIN once more a few days later because we missed it. Don't think I've ever gone to the same restaurant 3x on vacation. Afinal major highlight was our angelic server Tanya at our final lunch. We could have talked to her for hours. Thank you Tanya, with love from the girls from Minnesota! Read more
First off the host Preston has the best energy. We immediately felt welcomed in. He has all of the qualities of someone who is... meant to be in hospitality!! The dining area and outside is absolutely stunning!! So many plants, water, and gorgeous lounging /seating options. We went for brunch and got the bottomless aperol spritz which is a great deal and they were perfectly boozycocktails. For food we ordered the French toast, eggplant toast and lamb burger. All of which were to die for!! Great food!Great fast service! Enjoyed the music and the vibe Read more
One of the best places to eat in Miami. We were here for the weekend but ended up eating here twice one was a dinner and a lunch... for the next day. Both meals were so delicious and we almost tempted go there again for our last meal if the weather was nicer.Services was good as well. The person who served us was very knowledgeable about the food and almost felt like he knew exactlywhat we wanted so when we ordered what he suggested ended up they were absolutely delicious. We definitely come back next timewe’re in Miami so should you. And the restaurant is beautiful and a canal if you do get chance to sit outside. Read more
I was very surprised to see how long it took for this place to fill up with clients! The scenery is fantastic, the food is... amazing, the only thing that could improve is the pricing. I went for the Valentine's Day dinner which was honestly a verydiverse and very fulfilling meal. For a price of 75 per person, I thought it was reasonable. However, when factoring a 20%gratuity and a Miami tax, you're looking at an almost 100$ addition to your check which I thought was a bit excessive. Again, the food is very good, the staff were direct and amicable. The only thing barring me from being a return customer isaffordability. Read more
AMAZING FOOD EXPERIENCE! We stayed at Kayak Miami Beach for two nights and decided to have breakfast here on our first morning,... it was SO GOOD that we had dinner on the same day. Both the brunch and dinner menus are exclusively created. The chef cooksexquisite Mediterranean/Middle Eastern dishes with his own touch. Expect to have some pomegranate bites with your muhammara andsome cinnamon taste with your baklava. Bringing unusual with the usual and creating delicious on a different level! Lastly, wewere served by the lovely elegant Dime, who made the whole dining experience ten times better with her smiley face andprofessionalism! Read more
