Gitano was a nice experience. The service was excellent and it’s conveniently located. The food was a little salty. I enjoyed... the guacamole, the green bowl and the tuna tostado. The restaurant is quite dark. The bench seating is comfortable andcozy. My overall feeling is that for the price you can do better. Read more

I visited last week Friday with my friend for a quick dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I strongly suggest calling... ahead to find out about availability and MAKE A RESERVATION especially on a weekend in Miami. We had the pleasure of havingSharon as our server and she was a dream. Very knowledgeble about the menu selections and anything she reccommended wasdelicious! The entire staff was very attentive, honestly. I cannot stress about how good and fresh the food was, my friend and Iare pretty big eaters and we were more than satisfied with the portions. We will definitely be back to try the things wecouldn’t try on our first visit. Thanks again, Sharon! Read more

Trendy spot. The food was amazing, but pricey. The octopus was delicious. Make sure to check out the rooftop bar, it has great... vibes :) Read more

Tropical speakeasy style with floral decorations and chill house music. Drinks are delicious. Rooftop and low light rooms with... ample seating. I didn't try the food, but how exquisite the drinks were, I won't be surprised if the food follows suit as well.Again, this is a review of the rooftop bar. Read more

Absolutely thee worst place to patronize. First we called ahead and were told we could come in and when we got here they told us... they were closed for a private party. We called 10 minutes before. As my husband was talking to the hostess, I sat in the lobbyfor all of one second and was told I could not sit there. The guy further continued to harass me to leave the area. We werelater referred to a GM who seemed less than interested in assisting us and told me that I couldn't sit in lobby but in anotherarea. I explained that the guy who asked me to leave never bothered to tell me that. I don't know if they are just racist orthink they are better than everyone but do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. They do not deserve anyone's money sincethey act like they don't need it. Can you imagine a hotel that won't let you use their lobby? For sure I will never stay here, how does this attract future guests. This place should be ashamed of themselves. Read more

We came from NYC on vacation...first time in Miami beach: 5 stars for atmosphere and service. 3 starts for everything elses.... Value for money was not there. Our bill was $204 with tax and service fee: 3 mains, 2 drinks, and still water (We found itoutrageous to be billed for water) - at least tell ppl you bill for anything but tap water. The places is nice and atmospherechick and tropical, drinks were good and crafted in house, service was attentive and helpful; however food and drink prices wereway to high for the amount and quality. I understand is Miami beach, and that tourist prices are expected to be high, but noteven in Manhattan, NYC do you get such an exorbitant bill for almost no food and 2 drinks. The least Gitano can do would be tooffer more food in the plate. If it's a Michelin star level restaurant I could understand the price tag. Also, why not put the$ amount in the description? This is more like a $$$$ restaurant. Read more

This week my friend and I visited Miami Beach for Spring Break. We were staying near the Faena District, which is where Gitano... is located. To be honest, I am from Texas so Mexican food in Miami doesn't exactly excite me, but I was very impressed with thefood at Gitano. We started with the queso, which comes with freshly made flour tortillas. The cheese was delicious andincluded chorizo. For our entrees, my friend had the pork chop, which was cut into slices so you could make little streettacos. I had the cauliflower, which was THE MOST DELICIOUS cauliflower dish I have ever tasted. The cauliflower was soft andmoist and came with a delicious tomato mole sauce. For dessert we had churros (there are four of them), which come with bothchocolate and caramel dipping sauce. It was a beautiful evening in March in Miami Beach, and we sat outside on their patio, which was packed. Service was friendly if not a little distracted, but we had a very enjoyable time. Read more
