We had a fantastic dinner at Fifi's! Our server, Juan, was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about food allergies, so... following his recommendations we ordered a seafood plate for two that was completely celiac-friendly and delicious. I was extremely surprised with this restaurant. We were late to another reservation and found this unassuming restaurant on the... strip that we decided to try out. Note - You will need to street park. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the outside, butthe service was great, and the food was even better! The presentation blew me away. Our waiter presented an entire platter ofraw seafood and described our options. He was also super knowledgeable about the menu. What an elegant, charming restaurant this is among a strip of Miami Beach not known for such a high level of dining. This... restaurant is really out of place. It’s A jewel of a place among chain restaurants ,mom and pop establishments, and kitschy beach town shops and dive bars. But from the moment I walked in I felt like I was in a restaurant in NYC or Chicago. The staffare welcoming , engaging, and from the start, they make You feel like you’re being served in your own home. My server ,Miltoncame out with a whole raw snapper and other sea food to demonstrate the fresh seafood that was on the day’s menu. (Who doesthat?). He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and a gracious host. I chose the snapper, had it filleted and half ofit fried and the other half grilled . It was fresh and delicious. The Rice and beans were well seasoned and I chose a greatarugula salad. This place instantly became a favorite place to dine in North Beach.
