Reviews for Arepas and Sand Wish miami in Miami Beach, FL

I read the reviews that said this was the best arepas shop in Miami. The staff were friendly (which many complained about). We... thought it wasn?t bad but it wasn?t great either. We ordered the carne asada arepa and cachapas. The crane asada was good butthe cheese to meat ratio was off. They needed to have a lot more cheese on it. We thought we?d be able to share one but they?rea bit difficult to split between two people. The cachapas was interesting with the sweet tasting corn but on top was a mountainof cheese that didn?t add that much to the taste. It was nice that it was made fresh but the food took 20 min for what is a fastfood style meal. I would rather have them increase the price of each meal and give free sauce but charging people $1 for thesmallest amount feels off. The location is good with it right off the busy Main Street of South beach on Washington Ave. Read more

SO GOOD! GO HERE FOR BREAKFAST! Amazing food - we have never had arepas before (and we have some picky eaters with us) and... everyone loved them! The bacon and egg arepa is pictured below, we also got the two eggs, toast, and coffee breakfast which wasamazing, and we got a creole breakfast that stole the show! The service was great, super friendly staff and very quick. Reallygreat price point too - other breakfasts near here are $18 but everything here was $9ish, with the creole breakfast being themost at $14. Really great! We will be back! Read more

My first trying Venezuelan food and it was a combination of a lot of flavors. This place offers a variety of arepas and... sandwiches and the dishes are cooked per order, so fresh and tasty. I have ordered Mini patacones(fried tostones and topped withseasonned shreddedbeef), Cachapa con nata y queso venezolano( similar to corn bread with kind sweet cheese in between and toppedwith shredded cheese), Reina repiada(shredded cold chicken with fresh cut avocado on a corn bread),Pabellon(shredded beef, friedplantain, cheese and black beans sandwich), the food overall was freshly made and it tasted very good. The portions wise are notsmall and I suggest to order only one dish because the food fills you up quickly. Read more

Being married to a Venezuelan and having had arepas and cachapas(among various other dishes) in CCS, make me very critical of... any Venezuelan restaurants we visit. This spot has superb cachapas and arepas, the service is great and establishment isclean! Be ready to wait a bit for your order...part of what makes this place so good is because the make every item to order, itcan't get any better. We also grabbed an order of tequeños to-go to be enjoyed by the beach later on the day! Read more
