This place is a true hidden gem. I?m reluctant to say too many good things, lest the wait times increase. The food is always... fantastic. This is the last Canton/Sushi Maki that offers the legendary ?Canton Steak?. It?s definitely a shareable meal! Sip onsome boba tea, snack on some sushi, and prepare to feel like one of the family! Came here for a dinner date with a friend. Sushi Maki Dadeland has always been a favorite spot for me. The sushi rolls here are... excellent. The food is delicious. I ordered the BUDDA-CANE roll. YUM! It was my friends first time here and she was impressedwith the whole atmosphere vibe! Our server, Kieran made the whole experience even more pleasant. My compliments to him! While visiting Miami, our family decided to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant, Canton; and we were very disappointed to find... it had changed. We have been coming here for over 25 years. We almost didn't go in, but it was already such a long drive forus... To our pleasant surprise, we were greeted by the same manager, Teddy! He told us that yes they made some changes, butassured us that they still had the same great food, as well as some excellent new dishes. It turned out to be an amazingexperience! The food was as enjoyable as we remembered, and we are mostly grateful for Teddy still being there with his warmsmile and genuine hospitality. Excellent service and food! I enjoyed the vegetarian options for sushi and a very nice hot sake. The fried rice with fried tofu... was awesome too.
