If you're looking for a mid-week reward, a cheat day dessert, or a guilty pleasure Salt & Straw is the place to go. As an avid... Salt & Straw visitor, I'd def recommend going during the weekdays as going during the weekend can be a bit hectic. If you wantthe full S&S experience, you must take time to try all the flavors, as annoying as that sounds, it is actually encouraged by thebrand and the workers are actually super helpful and nice about it. You can try their seasonal flavors, which vary each month,with unique yet unusual flavors you'd never imagine like cinnamon & honey fried chicken, devil egg custard with smoked blacktea, or their classic flavors that NEVER miss. My favorite is the salted, malted, chocochip cookie dough, it's so creamy anddelicious with a balanced amount of each ingredient in every bite or lick. It's so good that if I could freeze myself to neverage, my only request would be to get freezed with endless pints of salted, malted, chocochip cookie dough ice cream. Themilkshakes are pretty good too. Beware, the only reason I might tell you to stay away is do you the fact that their ice cream ishighly addictive, yet a bit on the pricier side. Everything that an ice-cream place should be. Creaminess all over, nice generous chunks and crispiness, creative flavors and... recipes, friendly staff, and lovely interiors. We got a scoop of the Honey Lavender (my fave!) and a scoop of The Salty Donut Guava + Cheese. It was $9+ for two big scoops.... Honey Lavender remains to be my fave. The lavender flavor is not overpowering and you can also taste notes of the honey. Read more
