Reviews for Manjay restaurant in Miami, FL
Delicious and flavorful food. Friendly staff and did not disappoint. I had the jerk chicken bowl and roasted corn on the cob... with a spicy sauce. Definitely exceeded my expectations and will be back. Read more
My wife and I decided to come by the Citadel for a drink and some snacks. The steak bites and Conch fritters sounded good so we... ordered, and wow...definitely delivered on flavor! Steak bites had more steak than I expected for the price, and had some friessoaking up extra sauce at the bottom of the bowl, but there were two dipping sauced included as well. Conch fritters were alsoexcellent. Honey mustard dipping sauce hit the spot, distinguishable Conch chunk in the middle and the shape really looks likethey are made in-house, not the mass market perfect sphere ones you see at a lot of places. Next time I'll grab photos andupdate, both appetizers went down too quickly, then I thought maybe I should give them a review haha. Kinda want to come backfor the jerk chicken full meal anyway. The food was decent however the customer service was terrible. The gentleman taking our order made us feel like we were... bothering him by being there. There is no way that I can recommend this location with service like that. Read more
Amazing food, everything we ordered was 5 stars, but the From Haiti With Love bowl might be worth 6 stars
This Caribbean restaurant is anything but traditional! Their tagline is modern Caribbean cuisine and this food is just that. It... actually tasted more like a fusion of cuisines. This may be due to the fact that the Caribbean is filled with various culinaryinfluences from colonization. For example, the Jerk Chicken and coconut rice was reminiscent of an Asian inspired dish where itfelt like I should be eating it with chopsticks. This wasn't the Jamaican-style jerk chicken I'd grown up on that is coated inspices and slow-cooked over a fire or grill. It was breaded and flavored more like a Caribbean General Tso chicken. However thisis quality food made fresh daily. Only prepared when ordered. The bowls come with two sides which is a good portion and value. Ialso found these dishes to have a bit of kick to them for those who may not be as tolerant of spice. Overall your taste budswill thank you for you inviting them on this flavorful journey. Read more

Absolutely delicious! I had heard about Manjay Restaurant and had driven by almost everyday The Citadel on my way home from... work. A friend and I decided to check it out. He ordered the traditional Haitian dish, griyo, and I got the coco loco shrimp; weboth got rice and beans, plantains, pikliz. I highly suggest the conch fritters. At Manjay, the conch fritters are the bestwe've ever had! The pikliz was on point and brought some nice heat to spice everything up. Both the service and food wereexcellent. The Citadel has a cool vibe and a nice variety to choose from. Manjay Restaurant is a great little culinary gem thatyou don't want to miss. Read more
This restaurant is truly the definition of modern style Caribbean cuisine. I’m super glad that Haitians are finally being able... to get the recognition that they deserve in such a chic way, but still holding on to the dishes that are super impactful in thecountry of Haiti. I decided to try the vegan bowl with the sides of “Diri Djon Djon” and Curry Veggies With a side of“Banan Payzay” and “Pikliz” . The curry veggies had such an astounding amount of flavor. Shocking, how amazing that ittasted. The amount of vegetables provide it was a bit much, but the taste itself mixed in with the rice was such a perfectcombo. The Pikliz could’ve been a bit spicier just like the traditional way but understanding the area the spice may be a bitmuch for others , and the Banan was amazing y love the seasonings added on the top . If you’re in the area and looking forCaribbean style cuisine in a modern way this is definitely the place to come try out and get a taste of Haiti in Miami. Read more
