4.2?? I’ve been to this place before taking pics — a recommendation from a Cuban friend who knows the chef. One of the... better Cuban places in Miami. From the outside doesn’t seem much, but the inside is charming; beautiful Cuban-themed interiorsand welcoming staff, which is quick and kind. This time we only went with appetizers and coffee—good stuff with a moderntwist. Cocktails are a must since they are the bomb! You can't go wrong with any. If you want delicious Cuban food, this is the place to go. Prices are reasonable. Service was phenomenal and super fast despite... it being at its busiest hour. Empanadas and croquettes are to die for! I would also like to point out that our server, Eileenwas outstanding, despite her wearing a mask I could tell she was smiling at us all the time; attentive and quick. Fabulous experience! Food. Drinks. Atmosphere. Happy Hour. Entertainment. Service. Everything was spot on. This is the type of... place that every city needs. It's great for a fun night out with friends/family or for a date night. What's really impressivewas the little things were thought of. Our 8 year-old loved seeing our name on the board welcoming us. The communication beforeand after dining there was grateful. Attention from various staff throughout the night. Trying to think of one thing to improveand all we could come up with was our table for five seemed really small. Adds to the intimacy I suppose, but made managingdishes on the table a little challenging. But didn't take anything away from the night. We'd come back in a heartbeat when wereturn to Miami. My husband and I loved everything about dining and dancing at Cafe La Trova! From the interior decorations, the beyond delicious... food, outstanding drinks, amazing live band, my compliments don’t cease for this establishment! We had such an amazingexperience, which wasn’t possible without the outstanding service from Humberto! He truly went above and beyond to give us awonderful, fun, anniversary dinner! Humberto embodies all the qualities that makes a waiter perfect! We are so grateful for ouranniversary celebration at Cafe La Trova and can’t wait to return! This place is such a classic. It had the ultimate Cuba feel to it. I was so excited to hear it got named one of the top 50 bars... in the world. The drinks are amazing. The food is great too and they have an awesome happy hour. The decor is so awesome andeveryone working the bar is just great. Definitely a place I enjoy visiting over and over. We were on vacation last week with family…had a lot going on so moved our reservation to the following night. Almost cancelled... but, since my husband had read such great reviews, we skipped going out with extended family and tried it. The moment we walkedin the door, we were immediately charmed by the dip back into another era. The cheerful vibe and retro feel was welcoming andthe live music was a pleasant surprise. Everyone was warm and genuinely friendly/courteous. We have a couple of restaurants herein Ashevile, NC, so we appreciated the balanced menu options—everything we tried was absolutely delicious and beautiful aswell. The drinks were a treat! We even splurged on the bread pudding with the rum-soaked raisins and it was a triumph! My dadhas been gone 10 years now but he would have been transported into a blissful state with everything we experienced on our lovelydate night at Cafe La Trova. We drank our toast to him and felt like he was with us. (Your band even played one of the songs heused to play on his guitar, when I was little). And your bartender! ???? Joining in with the maracas! Found an amazing experience and happy hour. Carlos makes absolutely the best Mojitos we have ever had. The happy hour food was... absolutely delicious and we can’t wait to come back and listen to the live music and try out more of the menu. Cuba has stoleour stomachs. Read more
If you want a true taste of what Latin Miami is like (read: with an extra dose of Cuban) look no further than Cafe La Trova.... Delicious food and cocktails, a live band, and an all around crowd of cheerful easygoing Latin locals. The space is big butfeels intimate, the band is small but loud and captivating. I recommend you make a reservation, walk ins are impossible forgroups, even a couple without a reservation is left scavenging for seats at the bar. Favorite drink was Guayavera! Read more
