Friday night, 8pm, Nov. 4th, 2022. Started with fried pickles: nice and light. Shared between 4 and was plenty for each of us. I... had the (4) piece catfish, which was very good. Soft and not chewy - cooked right. Wifey had the patty melt and it was also verygood. The hush puppies were super good! Little jalapeño and onion flavor in there - um-um! But then the finisher was the peachcobbler and ice cream. Oh yeah!! Friend had the oysters and said they were just right. Two meals, a beer, glass of wine, extrahush puppies (oh yeah), and cobbler totaled $50. If your traveling through Mexia you need to stop here. Read more
I went in with a picky crew of 10+ and our waitress Rachel was incredibly patient and professional with each person to make sure... their order was exactly right. The food was great as well. It was an excellent experience for an unexpected stop on our trip toHouston. Read more
Our waitress was sweet and attentive. Food was hot and PLETIFUL!! ..But the peach cobbler was a joke!! I am used to cobbler... made with top crust, filling to INCLUDE ACTUAL FRUIT..completed with a bottom crust. What I received was like "peach compoteover a thin 1/4 crust. I saw NO PEACHES..very runny..VERY DISAPPOINTING for costing almost $5. If in the area again, we will eatthere again but WILL NEVER order that so called peach Cobbler again!! Read more
First time visit to this establishment and impressions were good! I had the fried catfish (to go) and it was really good. The... fries were excellent. My husband had a burger and was very impressed with how fresh the vegetables were and it was a good size.I look forward to eating here again!! Service was quick and efficient. Read more
Always so good! No complaints we all had seafood, they have grilled and fried. The fried mushrooms are delicious too.
We always enjoy the Farm House. They have a great menu of home cooking favorites. The service is excellent and everyone always... seems to be smiling. You can't go wrong with the burgers or the chicken fried steak but HOLY COW the pork chops are excellent!We haven't tried the desserts but they have a great variety of them.
