Wow, just wow. It was wonderful we got three different meals and shared them we had the crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, and of... course, the Gumbo. We started off with a fried green tomato appetizer not realizing it would have sauce on it, it was so goodwe wanted to lick the plate.. We were a little nervous cuz it's a store in a strip mall, it was worth the chance we took! Theservers there were wonderful. And the bread pudding was to die for it had chunks of fruit and a delicious sauce over the top. I would rate this an 11 out of 10! So. Good. Next time we're in New Orleans we're going there. The photos were taken after westarted tasting, they were very nicely presented. Read more

I really wish I could have given this restaurant 5stars . Because the food was MAGNIFICENT. My son was in the mood for... restaurant style chicken pasta. So this place was first on the list when he searched the internet. I was a bit sacred becausethe parking lot was completely empty. But then I heard there was an LSU game on. So that explains it. When we entered we weregreeted very politely. I ordered the blackened chicken pasta, the chicken Jefferson, and a catfish platter. Everything wasdelicious and seasoned well. Except for the potato salad. I was a bit confused at first glance I thought it was chicken salad. My son raved about how good his chicken pasta was. My chicken Jefferson could have used a tad bit more sauce. But let's get towhy I gave it 3stars. The gentleman that took our order was about to give himself a 20% tip, had I not reviewed the pad to pay.I saw him press something on the pad and that's what made me look down before giving him my card. He was adding the gratuityfees.. Then when I went to sit and wait for my food. He came close to me and tried to grab my breast. I pushed him away and thenhe tried to offer me something to drink while I waited. Sir I want nothing else from you. I just wanna sit in the corner and beconfused at what just happened. At this point I was very upset and ready to go. I only stayed because my child had been askingfor "restaurant style pasta." I will still recommend this restaurant, because the owner was very sweet when I told him whatoccurred. I didn't want him to refund me my money because everyone is in hard times. And the food was good. And the crazy partis I'll return because the food was just that DELICIOUS. Read more

Not my first time at Chef Ron's and the food is amazing, as usual! The gumbo is the best I've had in the New Orleans area and... the blackened chicken pasta is so tasty. The staff is super friendly too. This is simply one of the best restaurants for Creolefood! Read more

Portion control!! Wow. Huge portions. The spaghetti and chicken tenders are kids meals. The shrimp poboy was fresh and... delicious. Gumbo was a little spicy hot for my wife but she enjoyed it for sure. Super friendly. Melba is very attentive andaccommodating. Great little spot. This is where I need a 4.5 rating. Read more

Definitely a spot for locals. My friends who live in New Orleans took us here, and it was fantastic: very kind staff, cute... interior, great customer service, and DELICIOUS food. Everyone dining here was a local, present for a casual meal. At first, thefood seemed a bit pricey for how casual the establishment was, but it was definitely worth it. Service: 10/10 Food:10/10 Aesthetic: 8/10 (just because it was very casual and simple looking) Atmosphere: 10/10 (very kind staff and customers) Read more

Chef Ron is able to highlight the uniqueness of each of the Cajun and Creole dishes. I was afraid they would taste "same-y".... Everything was spectacular. When the crab cakes are the least popular item at the table (still very tasty), you know you havefound some serious eats. Read more
