The cashier recommended the fried fish mojarra, but it turned out too well done, very hard, and oil tasted funny, and when I... mentioned to waitress, she said it's supposed to be that way. Later I told cashier and she said you have to tell us right away.The worst business is to not resolve a small issue, but I spent good money and didn't get good food, or help with ordering.Perhaps the tacos de trompo are great but there are several other locations nearby with same. To be honest when this place opened up at 1st it used to be good. But the quality has gone way down. I went this past weekend... for some tacos and they had no flavor whatsoever had a bunch of fat in it. Great food and good prices. I really like the tacos and the staff is friendly. The food comes out fast and super hot.
Ordered a caldo de res and a got a beef bone soup with hardly any mean or vegetables rice was over cooked and tasted like it had... alot of garlic. My daughter got the fajita taco plate and she didn't want to eat the tacos because she said it was nasty. Theylook like it was chewed up and spit on to the tacos. Would not be coming back here again for almost $40 I could have gonesomewhere more decent. Don't waste your time and money here!!! Read more
LOVE the Taqueria Taxco in Mesquite, best trompo tacos I?ve ever tried!! I live in Richardson/Dallas area and would not hesitate... to travel to Mesquite for their amazing tacos anytime!!! First time here and my experience was not the best. Starting off once I opened my food after a 8 minute drive home from picking... up my food. My cheese and chips were supposed to be a large, and the plate was literary 20 chips and half a container of coldrefrigerated taste queso. My quesadilla had a hair in it and 2 of the thinnest avocados you can think of along with a randomsquirt of sour cream. The chimichanga was frozen! It looked like it was just tossed in the microwave. The staff was friendly. I thought it was a bit pricey at first but the portions were large. I got the beef tacos and white... posole. They were a little different in flavor and sides than what I'm used to after spending 20 years on the Az, Ca and SonoraMexico borders but still good. Couldn't finish the posole and took 2 of the 3 tacos home. My wife ordered the shrimp quesadilla,large fries and elote (roasted corn can get it on the cob or in a cup). She also had a to go basket going home. A quarter ofthe quesadilla and most of the fries because a large is an entire dinner plate of fresh cut potatoes.
