This is such a fantastic mountain lodge! The owners and staff are all so friendly and accommodating. The cabins are excellent... and stocked. The proximity of the lodge to the cabins is decent. The cabins are well spaced and plenty of size options andamenities. The location is heavenly. Multiple hiking trails, including the one I did called Lost Lake. Multiple lakes forfishing. There?s a paved walking path around the lakes. The variety of birds is exciting too. A bald eagle and stellar jay toname two. I can?t say enough about this location. I highly recommend! Whether you go for the day and grab a bite to eat andenjoy the outdoors or you book a cabin for a retreat, this is an excellent choice. I recommend the elk burger and fried greenbeans! Yum! Read more
We did not stay but the food was so bad i had to write a review. We drove up to see the colors of the Aspens and were very... hungry so stopped at Lodge for late lunch. The waitress said we just missed the rush but it too 45 minutes minimum to get ourfood . We ordered a grilled cheese and a chili burger with half red chili and half green. I was told it was a little spicy and Iactually like it very spicy; since that is difficult to find I always settle for not so spicy. I don?t know what we werethinking but the grilled cheese was on cheap wheat bread and was American sliced cheese or Velveeta but tasteless and my husbandcouldn?t even eat half. Guess it was made for kids who love processed cheese. My husband ordered a salad instead of fries whichwas pretty good. The chili burger was awful . It was $20 and the green chili was made of canned green chilis (not spicy) andtomatoes and was slightly sweet which I do not like. The red was better but burger meat wasn?t great. I could have upped it tobison or elk but just thought the regular would be better. I asked for any hot sauce or red pepper and they were out ofhabanero. French fries were thin sliced?sort of a cross between chips and fries( rather strange). We took part of the burgerpatty to our dogs and swore to never eat there again. Amazingly mediocre. Read more

Hidden gem in a rural area. We organized with them beforehand and let them know we'd be showing up around 7:30pm (after normal... closing) with a group of about 20. They were more than happy to accomodate us and keep the beer/burgers coming, all with asmile. Top notch. Read more
We came from Oklahoma to spend Father's Day! We stayed in the sunshine cabin and it was great. Rustic cabins with beautiful... views. Got there at almost close on Friday night and the staff stayed late to feed our bunch. Great service and a great stay! Read more
The only positive was the woman working the front - she was very considerate/kind. Our cabin had a gas leak. It wreaked of... propane. Within minutes both my husband and I had headaches. The room they offered as an alternative was full of wasps, mosquitoes, and a massive spider that was crawling around the kitchen floor (ps: the kitchen had carpet. Gross!) There was pethair on the area rug and the walls themselves are scratched up with chipping paint. It was not a comparable experience to whatwe had booked. What?s sad is that it doesn?t have to be this way. The location and lakes on the property are absolutelybeautiful. These rooms are just terribly repulsive. With very little effort the owner could gut these cabins, upgrade them, andoffer guests something low key and really special. It?s disrespectful to offer these cabins up under false expectations of thembeing remotely close ok. They are not clean, they have a serious insect problem, and the air smells of mold. Read more
I attended a large women?s retreat for breast cancer survivors who have chosen to be flat & not have reconstruction after... mastectomy. The owners and staff at Mesa Lakes Lodge were very empathetic, welcoming and went above b& beyond to ensure ourstay was excellent. Our cabin (Fishing) was spacious & comfy. The beds were extremely comfortable with luxury linens, pillows &comforter. It had a full bath with shower and a full kitchen. The setting is absolutely spectacular!! Lakes, trees, blue skies, hiking trails, and a beautiful patio/lawn/gazebo/ fire pit. They have a full lunch & dinner menu and the food was fantastic! Read more
