Nov. 13th 1960 - November 13th 2022 and I somehow lived long enough to make it to the Taste of Peru. We went there on a Sunday... so the drive was easy. The restaurant is clean, family oriented and the staff was wonderful. The menu was a little light, butthere was enough that you had options to choose from, and as usual we just ordered to our stomachs delight. For appetizers wehad the Yuca Dorada with Huancaina sauce, which were firm on the outside and tender in the inside. I had the Chaufa Trio whichis a fried rice with chicken, beef and shrimp. The food was well seasoned and the meat was tender, just so well prepared. Wealso had Pollo a la Brasa, a 1/4 chicken, jasmine rice and plantains. The chicken was delicious and moist even a day later. Thepapa's rellana was superb. For dessert was a slice of Tres Leches cake and a serving of Lucuma ice cream. The tres leches cakewas good but not what you expect if you are looking for the wet version. The ice cream was the star, think soft serve andcreamy, and worthy of a fist fight for the last bite. The food is delicious, very good flavor. I loved! The only thing is a little expensive, they offer soup I thought it was on... the house, but they charge a dollar for the portion, just be attentive and ask what is included in the dish you order. Read more

Overpriced! Charging $16 for a vegetable stir fry where the only visible vegetable is red onion. Lucuma ice cream was decent.... Wouldn't go here again though. Read more

A nice change of pace from my traditional haunts. The staff is very nice and the food is really tasty. I got the Peruvian fried... rice and I don't know what they cook the chicken in but it's fantastic. The chicken noodle style soup was also very good. I'mgonna need to come back for their 1/4 or 1/2 chicken meal as well as some other things that look stellar. Read more

The high reviews this place has are well deserved. We randomly picked this place to try something outside of the norm and we... were very happy we did. This place is a real gem. The service was excellent, and the waitress was very good about explainingthe dishes as we were not at all familiar with Peruvian food. My favorite thing is that they offer several different authenticdrinks from the area - the Inca Kola being our favorite. We tried the kids sausage and fries (very similar to a hot dog - our 4year old loved it), the chicken (extremely juicy and tender), and the lemon seafood platter. We also got some kind of caramelcookie dessert but ate it all before I could get a picture. We'll definitely be back again to try more options! This place is absolutely delicious. Arroz Con Mariscos has a nice spice to it and the flavors are amazing, not too salty which I... prefer. I'm so glad I found this hidden gem! I can't wait to try all their food! Read more
