Food wasn’t good. The meatballs were warm at best, and not fresh. The chicken parmesan was soggy and tasted like it was... reheated. Also, I had to ask for the complimentary bread. I will NOT return. I gave it 5 stars for outstanding food, service and value but It’s unacceptable to have on the bill a line... item to “cover our cost increases due to inflation, supply/demand, and any other reason”. Just raise your prices, we allknow that everything will always cost more as time goes by. Making a separate “ adjustment “ is really just making apolitical statement. Imagine every business doing this: never “raise prices” just add a line item catch all and in a fewyears 3.5% becomes 25%!! So far I have only a few restaurants I will not patronize because of this, please stop. Whatdifference does it make since your patrons pay anyway? Again it’s political! Read more
Catching the sunset as I parked set the tone for a lovely first date here at Sam & Luca. I made reservations online and I'm... glad I did because it was popping at 6:30 on a Thursday. Our server Camery was sweet & efficient. She told us the specials &the lobster bisque piqued my interest. I'm so glad it did cause it was delicious (ask for fresh bread with it & thank me later.) My date ordered the eggplant parmigiana && I, the scallops. Everything from the bread, to the wine, to the entrees weredelicious. I would definitely recommend if you want good Italian food. Disappointing! We had mussels and clams as appetizer. The sauce had good spice but the seafood was chewy and we had to ask for... bread with it. We had the shrimp risotto and lasagna. Both were so overdone, the shrimp was tightly curled and chewy and therisotto was mushy. The pasta on the lasagna again overdone and mushy. It seemed almost deconstructed. Sauce on the side, cheeseon top not well layered and again no bread for all that sauce. We will not go back. Read more

UPDATE: I did go back after my initial visit, and yep, my review has changed. It has been downgraded. Your chef was missing... ingredients, and was unable to make the dish as it was meant to be. Really? What reputable place does this? Instead ofresponding as you did to my initial review, you might have asked what you could have done differently. Instead of reading myother reviews, read the other 1 and 2 star reviews your establishment has been given. Your time could have been better spentfiguring out how to deliver a better experience. I'm sorry, but the only reason people give this place rave reviews is becausethey don't know good Italian food. Our server was FANTASTIC (thus one of the two stars I am giving). The wine also great (theother star). Appetizers and bread? That's a big no. Someone there needs to visit Postino or Franco's Cafe to see how appetizersare done. Main dishes, eh.
