Nice place, decorated in a island atmosphere. Food was tasty and the building was clean. Good healthy fastfood.
We really enjoyed our meal at Rumbi Island grill. We got the volcano blackened mahi and Caribbean chicken and shrimp entrees.... The flavors were perfect! Each entree cost around $17 and came with a great portion of fries. The sweet potato fries were sogood! Read more
Not entirely sure how the ratings are so good. The "Chicken Tempura" was just the basic Chinese style fried chicken you'd find... in a generic orange chicken dish from any Chinese restaurant, nothing tempura about it. The "Teriyaki Noodles" were justspaghetti with an out of the box Teriyaki sauce that was too strong. And the "Island Macaroni Salad" was extremely bland. Iwouldn't mind if the meal was like a total of $5 or something dirt cheap, but for $15 I wouldn't recommend eating here. Theyneed to completely redo the entire menu and actually make something Hawaiian. I'd rather just go to Ono Hawaiian or literallyany other place than here. Read more
The Hawaiian teriyaki sauce is bye far best feature of the food but the grilled chicken is sub par . It?s in small cubes this... limits flavor not a fan also needs to be grilled and a little smoked and they would have something here if that was a factor.Also the Mac salad was good but didn?t make me think that I needed to eat this at least once a week no pepper no zing to it.I?ve had far better but good enough if you want to take the kids. Best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Better than any other fries, sweet potato or not, than I've ever had. Absolutely... addicting! I ordered and ate them in the store. They came perfectly cooked, just the right balance of crispiness on the outside,but soft and tender on the inside, and seasoned perfectly with the right amount of saltiness. From the moment we opened our truck door we were pleasantly surprised! Reggae music welcomed us and beckoned us in. When we... entered the ambiance was nice and the smells of great island food had us wanting to try everything. The workers there were allpleasant and knowledgeable. I went with the sweet potato fries, Hawaiian teriyaki bowl with rice, grilled chicken, Hawaiianteriyaki sauce, carrots and zucchini, and pineapple Upside-downcake. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I've evertasted and the sauce, OMG, I could brink that by the gallon. The chicken and rice were cooked perfectly and the sauce had justthe right amount of balance between sweet and tang. Next time I'm not getting the carrots, they were rough on my gums, that wasnot anything they did, the carrots had a great crunch and yummy taste. With my strick diet, they were able to make it the way Ineeded. I let the nice young woman know that I would most likely be taking half home (I only got the half size and I was fullonly 1/4 way through) and when she brought the food to the table it already had the lid with it. When I was ordering the dessertshe asked if I wanted brought out towards the end of the meal. I said yes and she brought it out at just the right time. Thecake was so moist. It was my husband and I?s first time at Rumbi Island Grill. We really enjoyed the bowls we got. However, I am giving this place... 3 stars because their customer service was really bad and we were disappointed about that. The guy who helped us didn?t greet usnor was he helpful when we asked him questions about the food. He was very short with us and not friendly at all. I woulddefinitely recommend the food though!
