Great sushi! Maybe a tad bit pricey for the quality. Monster roll was my personal favorite! Geisha roll wasn't great, and the... fish tasted pretty vinegar-y. Las Vegas roll was a good classic Vegas roll! I liked their ratio of rice in the rolls, it didn'tfeel like they were just packing it with rice Read more

This is probably the best quality sushi grade fish you are going to find in Mesa if not in the greater Phoenix area. They use... real crab instead of imitation crab and the Octopus and Eel is high quality as well. The place is not too big so it's a nicequiet atmosphere and it was clean. Probably won't go anywhere else for sushi anymore. Read more

#Japan : Best Bluefin & Beer in the neighborhood! My first time at Makitto and it was great! We arrived and were told that... there would be about a 30 min wait, not due to seating, but due to chef backlog? which was fine and worth the wait! Staffgraciously allowed us to sit at sushi bar and have drinks while we waited. The Echigo is best japanese beer in AZ - handsdown! And the lemon cucumber (spa water) infused sake is a 10 of 10! Pair either or both with some bluefin akami / maguro, chutoro, or otoro and u have an amazing meal!!! Read more

This place was amazing. The sushi was fresh, fun, and flavorful. The crunch bay was my favorite roll I tried there. They had... great albacore nigiri. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. They did not sacrifice quality for speed that's forsure. Read more

Visited on a Friday night around 6:00 with my wife. Ordered three rolls, soup, salad, and sashimi. Service was very friendly.... Salad did not come out until later, which is my only complaint. Read more

I usually save my five stars for the best ever, and this isn?t the best place in town for sushi, but it is very very good for... what it is. Reasonable price, superior rolls and nigiri, and awesome staff. The salad dressing was exceptional. Presentationshows real care, and the fish tasted fresh. Salmon nicely striped. Fresh wasabi offered. Read more

What are the best sushi experiences I've had since I moved to Mesa. I don't think I need even say anymore. It was just so good... the wait staff was nice even the smell when you walk in smell like a sushi restaurant that was clean but had everything that youwant like a fresh bowl of miso soup and a solid that was just delicious but the ginger dressing. It was awesome definitely gobut know that it's like a neighborhood feel Read more
