It sure has been awhile since I have eaten at this establishment. I learned of this restaurant through my uncle. It was one of... his favorite places to eat weekly and probably almost daily. There were 2 other locations and both closed down. The firstlocation that closed was right across from paradise Valley mall about 8 years ago. The other location was at 35th Ave and Peoriaave. I was sadden by it and I didn't realize that there was a 3rd location here in the valley. I happen to be in the area a fewweeks ago and decided I would come back and dine. However, if I really wanted to eat here I know there are 3 more locations inTucson. When I did live in Tucson I was a regular at the speedway restaurant. How I have missed their food. My favorite is thediced beef with bell peppers and onions grilled with bacon. I love their charro beans and seasoned to perfection. I missed theirchips and salsas as well. Everything was absolutely delicious ????. However, usually get really hot corn tortillas but it wascold when I received it. I didn't want to complain because I was enjoying every bite. I just placed it on top of my dish to warmit (somewhat). I highly recommend this place. It is a little intimidating because their menu is extensive to read. You canalways ask questions for faster suggestions. Happy dining and happy eating ????. Read more

I don't love Mexican food. But once in a while, once a week, I get food for my girlfriend. I always taste her food. The service... is unfriendly! A little too much cinnamon in there sauce or whatever you call it. Overall my girlfriend likes the food. Therestaurant looks clean. Read more

Pretty good overall but not amazing. Chips were good, think and lightly salted. They provide three types of salsa and all were... good. Rice and beans were really good, entrees and desert were just ok. Seemed like prices were high. Read more

Delicioso! We arrived around 7 pm, so I'm guessing that's why it wasn't very busy, so we were greeted and seated promptly. We... were seated right next to the large kitchen window where you can see where all the magic ???? happens! ???? It took us a whileto review the menu because it is extensive...so many delicious sounding choices. I chose the #14 Bistek con Enchiladas Suizas ~two cheese enchiladas served with two charbroiled beef tacos and a small side of probably the best Spanish rice I've ever tastedand a generous side of their equally delicious pinto beans. The flavor of the beef in the tacos is exceptional and their greenavocado based salsa makes them taste even better. They STUFF their freshly made corn tortillas with the charbroiled beef, so Iwas nearly STUFFED after eating both of those. The meat tastes like perfectly grilled steak...tender and juicy. The cheesyenchiladas were very different from any other Mexican restaurant I've ever been to, with a mozzarella type cheese, perhapscombined with some cheddar. I'm not sure, but all that really matters is they were delicious with a moderate amount of theirspicy, but not too spicy, red sauce. All the flavors went incredibly well together. Yes, I would order that same dish again! Myhusband chose #35 Enchiladas Suizas ~ three fresh handmade corn tortillas filled with chicken, beef, or cheese covered with redenchilada sauce, melted cheese, and sour cream, served with charro beans and rice. He got the chicken enchiladas which he saidwere great. My son ordered #15 Pechuga Suiza ~ two flour tortillas stuffed with cheese and grilled thin chicken breast toppedwith more cheese, served with two beef or chicken tacos sauteed with bacon, bell peppers, and onions, which he thoroughlyenjoyed. And finally, his significant other, who recommended this restaurant, chose her go-to dish, the #5 Queso Suizo ~ theirunique melted cheese served on a skillet, and browned, with flour tortillas, and added a side of their refr Read more

Was going to give this four stars out of spite due to the positioning of the handicap parking stalls. Wasn't able to park in one... to the fact that a car would back up into mine since I would effectively block that car in. Stupid parking design. Parkingblocks were almost 6 feet away from handicap poles. No need. Trust me, I don't want to hit your poles.. But Idigress... I've been here a couple of times before. Was okay. Wasn't impressed. But tonight, wow! Ordered the queso chorizodip as appetizer. Delicious. I then ordered the molcajete. I've had it at a few other places but this was definitely the bestI've ever had. It was incredible. The bowl was lava hot as it should be. Steak, chicken, shrimp, and zucchini cookedperfectly. I'll order it again. Read more
