When you get a calzone here its $21 just for cheese and $4 extra for each topping . As a Black person the man automatically... assumed I wanted "grillled chicken" and that rubed me the wrong way but ordered anyway. Honestly dissapointed since this placewas recomended by a familiy member. Not only was the calzone not great, once I showed the picture to my familiy member they saidtheir calzone was never thid small. The place was recommended to me by a work friend. Was pretty excited to take my lady and our granddaughter. The salad I... ordered never made it out. The veal parm I ordered came out with a different noodle than requested. My wife ordered pastaand clams in white sauce. It was in a buttery oil juice with canned clams. She couldn't eat it. I've eaten at La Familia since they were over by the Fry's. I always got there Calzones. Which are awesome. However, tonight my... wife and I decided to go in and eat at the restaurant instead of ordering Calzones and it was amazing. We found this restaurant on a whim, and we are so glad we did. We tried the following: - Garlic Knots - Bruschetta - Grandma's... pizza slices - Lasagna - Calzone - Chicken Penna Pasta - Oreo Cheesecake - Raspberry Cheesecake - Sangrias I can't begin todescribe all of the different flavors. The food was simply amazing. Everything tastes fresh, and from what I understood,everything is homemade. The way each plate was prepared was awesome. You can taste all of the flavors beautifully The servicewas as good as the food. It is hard to find service as good as the service here at this restaurant. Even the Owner came over tocheck on us. It wasn't great. Everything looked pretty good when we got it but the looks were deceiving. We got a pizza, a Stromboli and... some garlic bread. First off, the garlic bread, and I don't know any other way to describe this, tasted like how a nail salonsmells. So, not good. It reminded me strongly of nail polish remover. The pizza was average at best but I ordered it with extracheese and either they forgot to add it or the normal amount is miniscule. The crust was also very tough and hard to chew. Itwas edible but I wouldn't order it again. The Stromboli was the most disappointing. When we cut into it, the dough inside wasstill raw and we did double check to make sure it wasn't just a cheese pull. It wasn't. To give it a decent shot we cooked it alittle longer but even fully cooked it was still bad. There was no flavor at all and the cheese had that cheap waxy feel to it.It was pouring out grease. It was just bad. Overall, not worth the time or money spent. Will not be ordering from here againunfortunately. Read more
