Had dinner for a friend's birthday, we were a party of 5 and didn't make reservations. Luckily, a short while later, we were... able to seat ourselves upstairs and chatted away. There was this orange margarita that I fell in love with. Loved how there'salcohol in it, but can still taste the overpowering orange flavor. For the main course, I went big with the Steak Oscar withyour choice of 2 sides. I went with all broccoli. The steak was about 6 oz and has some pieces of lobsters on it. The bearnaisesauce didn't do it any flavors, so ultimately it didn't have any flavor. The food aside, our server was super friendly andhelpful. I never stayed so long chatting away after our meal was finished. She never came to give us a warning or anything(probably not a thing, but still surprised). We ordered prime rib, asked for it to be medium and it came out rare. My girlfriend and I both got sides of rice, hers was good,... mine on the otherhand had hard rice in it. Service could also have been better. Didn't seem busy to me, but took over 30 minutesto get a new drink. We were expecting an hour and half and we would be out, turned out over 2 hours due to waiting on waitress.They comp'd one of hour meals, which I appreciate but not sure I will return. My husband and I went to the Homestead on October 1st for dinner. The service was fantastic and we had a lovely time. The... portions were big and so I brought home the remainder of my chicken meal. They gave me two chicken breasts and one of them I ateat the restaurant and the other I brought home. When I went to open up my Capri Chicken meal I sliced the chicken and it wascompletely raw inside. I don?t like to complain but want to let others know so that they don?t get salmonella or food poisoning.So far I don?t feel sick. Read more
Nice menu and the food was really good. Bread before the meal included some homemade apple bread which was delicious and the... server brought us extra. Clam chowder was very good and everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was excellent. Limited beer menubut tried a local IPA and it was very good. This is the first time we have been here and the first time we have not made a large Thanksgiving meal. We are so grateful they... were serving Thanksgiving. We had turkey, salmon, and prime rib dinners. They were outstanding. We also have a good wine andgreat cocktails. The service was superb as was the experience sitting near the fireplace.
