BEST Birrias around. I tried El Poblanos' Birria tacos and then Santo tacos' (In Valpo) birria tacos the next day to see if I... could get the same experience 'cause I live kinda far from El Poblano's, and LET.ME.TELL.YOU.....El poblano's birria tacos blewthe competition out of the water. The shells were stiffer and the consome was wayyyyy tastier. Santo tacos consome tastedoverwhelmingly of beef and nothing else and the shells were so soggy it all fell apart the second I picked it up, but Elpoblanos, boy....whew! I crave it. I have heard so much about Birria tacos and wanted to try them. Decided on El Poblano, the reviews were amazing and the... pictures looked even better. The price for Birria tacos is rather expensive but I must say it is so worth it! For the priceyou get 4 loaded tacos and the dipping sauce. The place was clean the staff was friendly. The food was a good amount, but it wasn't the best tasting. I think it had to do... with the sour cream. Not sure what kind they use, but it had a bit of sweeter taste that just doesn't go well with the food Ihad. I asked my Goddaughter and my cousin if they had a funny taste to their food and my Goddaughter said yes and we realized itwas the sour cream. My cousins dish did not have sour cream on it so hers was ok. I had a torta de milanesa se res and myGoddaughter had flautas. Which both come with sour cream. My cousin said she had been here before and forgot to warn me aboutthe sour cream. She also said it made the food taste a little bad. Thanks cuz! My advice, skip the sour cream! Read more
