Very disappointing-my idea of maduros isn't steam table barely ripe plaintains that taste like cardboard. I was told it would be... a wait, thought that they were frying them. Wrong! The first time I went here was good but it got worse each time. The lazy teenagers working the evening shift gave me churros... without any sugar on them. The churros were cold and hard. I felt like I was eating cardboard and it made my stomach sick. Inaddition, their empanadas are way too expensive for their size and taste. I would not waste my time and money coming here again.I would advise you to go to their Lindenhurst branch instead of here. Read more
Tried Island Empanada for the first time today. Immediately upon entering I noticed everything was very clean and the workers... were so nice and helpful. The food itself is such a great deal and oh my god is it amazing. I got the beef and cheese, thechicken bacon ranch and the loaded potato Empanada which were all extremely delicious especially the loaded potato empanada which I will definitely have to go back to get more of. I've never been a huge fan of beans and rice but it was very wellseasoned and enjoyable to eat as well as the tostones, which I had never had before. I cant wait to go back again for more! Read more

Finally got to try this place and I?m glad I did this is definitely an amazing empanada spot. The limited time corned beef one... was outstanding and the loaded potato balls were amazing especially with the pink sauce so much flavor! Long over due, review for these delicious empanadas that I tried from a food truck at the amityville park, went to a event... slammed by the bay and they were there selling empanadas! The lines were so long and they kept making new empanadas, they weretrying to keep up with the demand of empanadas that everyone was ordering. Chicken/Shrimp/Carne empanadas we?re all tried andall of them were very tasty and fresh! Highly recommend visiting a physical location, if you can?t find the truck. Read more
