I like the ambiance inside the restaurant with the whole layout. It is a little darker at night, which would be hard for my... older parents to see the menu but totally fine for me and my husband on our anniversary dinner. For our starters, we orderedcalamari and crab cakes. To be honest we were a little bummed. The sauce on both appetizers was the same and breading was a bitthicker on both so they kind of tasted the same. However, their vanilla old fashioned was spot on and so were our entrees. Clamchowder was tasty. It came out lukewarm so I sent it back to be nuked. My server brought me a new cup which was steaming hot,exactly how soup should be. My husband had the macadamia nut encrusted sea bass and I had the halibut which was the ?fit? mealof the evening. Fish were both cooked perfectly. I thought the sauce on the sea bass was a little almost too sweet, but my hubbyliked it. I liked the sauce on my halibut as it was light and tasty. We will definitely be back and will try some differentappetizers in hopes that we find something we like better! Read more
My husband and I both got the filet & lobster. Both were very good. The twice baked potato comes in a little kettle without the... skin. Also very good. We split a wedge salad-delicious. I ordered a grilled artichoke which I thought was really expensive foran artichoke and I was right. Not worth the money. My only ?complaint? is that our server was definitely not on her game. Wespent over $200.00 on dinner for two and I had to ask more than once for things. The service was okay but not great. I don?tlike that the wait staff wears jeans ???? either. It should be black pants in an upscale restaurant. Just my opinion. Overallvery good. Oh, and ask for bread ????. I did ask for bread after we got our food and glad I did. Atmosphere was unique and eclectic. We liked the ambiance and thought it was a nice date night place. Portions are small and... overpriced. I was shocked to see my $58 Land Ocean meal. My potatoes were 1/2 cup size and I got 3 asparagus. The flavor of mysteak tasted great and cooked perfect. My husbands $20 French dip was average but the price not worth ordering. French dipseemed to be sitting on the warmer as it was pretty soggy. We also had calamari and for $16 it was more of fried onions andpeppers on top of cabbage. A definite must the food was pretty good and the Margarita was delicious. It is very loud inside so if your looking for a quiet... dinner then this is not the place. But the service was good and everything came out pretty quick. Definitely recommend giving ita try. Read more
