On a recommendation we visited. We went early because we didn't have a reservation for dinner. Recommended. It is the... traditional Wisconsin Supper Club. Family owned restaurant. Friendly bartender and local patrons. Cheers Wisconsin Style.???? Fantastic service at the bar. Good Brandy Old Fashioned. I had the Seasoned Filet topped with mushrooms and onions. Filet melyed in my mouth. Perfectly cooked. My husband had the Fried Chicken and so good and way to much to each. Each dinnercame with salad bar and soup with a potato side. Our dinner was ok. The duck was not too tender. My Uncle so generously treated us to dinner. It was $200 with tax, credit card... fee and tip. The manager followed us out if the restaurant & asked if we were pleased with our dinner. We answered, yes. Shethen stated your tip was $20?. yes?. She then stated that was an unfair tip. We did not respond as she walked away. It reallyfeels rude to attack our family dinner like that. It was a15% tip on our services. It was not a 10% tip on a bill that includedtax and credit card fees. We also were not 100 % in love with our food, but didn?t complain either. We were looking for a supper club when we passed this place. Are we glad we stopped in!! Very quaint! Great bar drinks!... Bartender and server were very attentive. Our meal was superb!! So delicious! You get soup, salad and a relish tray! I had theseafood platter; a full lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp and scallops!! All my faves! My husband had the ribs and chicken, sooogood. A Tradition - full disclosure- I've been going to this supper club since I was child so I'm likely biased. - The highlight of... this restaurant is the Milky Way. A dessert drink that will have you coming back over and over. Sure they have great steaks,lobster specials, and other supper club dishes to enjoy on your way toward dessert but save room for a Milky Way or a PinkSquirrel! These are the best adult treats ever, hard pack vanilla ice cream scooped into a blender at the bar, doctored up byBetsy (owner, bartender, and friendly fixture at the Ding A Ling) and poured out into a margarita glass, a dollap of whip cream,a spoon and a short straw (that doesn't do a lot of good) and you are in for a lovely Northwoods dessert that will have youcoming back for more (possibly the next day).
