Very sweet! I wanted to check this place out as it was a Top 50 Texas BBQ joints; however, it did not live up to my... expectations. The meat was cooked fine but the glaze was too sweet. Very very juicy and good tasting beef brisket with very fair cost. Their beef brisket is so juicy and taste so good with instant... noodles if you have left over lol The coleslaw taste awful though, cannot even take a bite, and I would really love if theyhave some hot sauce Read more
Great place ...the brisket was very juicy (and it was considered a lean cut). The BBQ sauce was just perfect...not too... spicy...not too sweet. Try the Pork Ribs.. they literally fell off the bone!!!! Will definitely be coming back. The place isclean..and we'll ventilated. Also, try the potato salad...it is also a great side! Smoking Oak was great! Ordered the brisket burger. The meat was moist, tender and delicious! If you see the pic the meat had... a nice smoke ring....returned for more recently... Thursday during lunch. Ordered chicken, ribs and brisket. All three meatswere served in short order, all meats were delicious! Read more
Don't know what happened here, a year ago I came it was amazing. The menu changed I guess only has burgers and sides no prices... for brisket and everything else by lb. They "made" a three meat plate for me brisket was so dry so were the ribs sausage was ok.Don't know what happened from last time feel it was too expensive for the quality. I arrived after 5:00pm on a week day and NO ONE was around. It thought that they had sold out until someone told me that they... had opened for dinner. The place was absolutely empty and no one waiting for food. I knew I was in trouble: a BBQ place with noline is a warning sign. True to form, the food wasn't something to rave about. The pork ribs were a definite pass. They weresmothered with sauce to make up for other challenges. The brisket was slightly better. The beans tasted good, so there was that.The creamed corn broke my rule that I've never found creamed corn that I didn't like. Maybe it's better for lunch. I recommendtrying it during a weekend or lunch, but this wasn't for me. Read more
