There for 35th wedding anniversary on 7/18/22. Wait staff needs training on attentiveness and follow-up on orders and service.... We both ordered 16 oz Ribeye Steaks, MR with grilled root vegetables as the side. The individual performing as the ?Chef? wasnothing more than a ?line cook? filling in for someone. We received two NY Strips, both were overloaded with connective tissuesand tough. Trimmed lean? No, terrible ?in house? meat preparation. Root vegetables, if grilled, should always be par-cooked toassure some degree of tenderness when grilled on a Char grill. These were crunchy raw. He came out to discuss the issue andoffered to comp the meal. We accepted the offer and went on to dessert. Received the bill at $145+, no comp other than peachand ice cream. It was the sorriest dinner out I think I can ever remember. Bottom line, this place has great potential if youcan go there when it isn?t operated by a bunch of amateurs. It's clear that careful thought went into naming this restaraunt. Because, elevate is what they do! The food is exquisite. Also,... ask for Fontana, the best waitress I've ever had. In fact the entire staff is elevated. Its very obvious they all care deeplyabout YOUR dining experience. Restaraunts in Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile have nothing on this place. JamesBeard winners? James Beard judges? Pay attention... Its very likely, Elevation Bistro is the best restaraunt in the State ofAlabama. The vibe was perfect with candle light & live music. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and gave us great suggestions. The... food was excellent. Absolutely spectacular experience. This is award winning food. All farm to table. The wine list is perfect for the mixed... European/southern cuisine. The entrees were delicious (red snapper, eggplant), but the key lime dessert stole the show. Plus thestaff is unlike any other; so authentic and knowledgeable. We were lucky enough to eat here during a perfect lightningbug-filled sunset. I absolutely cannot wait to come back here!! This is the best restaurant in a hundred mile radius. Period. Read more
