Reviews for Mademoiselle Colette in Menlo Park, CA
Awesome croissants. They are huge, but the stuffing (if you get the almond or almond chocolate versions) is tasty and well... filled. Real butter in the croissants make for very flaky layers of crust. If you're gonna eat croissants, eat these! They'retruly an indulgence. My family members can only ingest 1/2 at a time, which makes the $7 per a bit easy to swallow, so to speak. Read more
The croissant is the best I?ve tried In the whole bay. The Burrata Avocado tarting was out of this world. The cashier Enrique... was very helpful and the coffee that Sebastian made for me was delicious. Highly recommend! Tip: Try the caramel eclair. Wantedmore after the first bite. But they had no more. Reserve them! Read more
Very good place! A wonderful selection of desserts, you can really choose something to your taste: chocolate, berry, mousse,... and crispy. We tried several desserts there and we liked them all. The Raspberry Tart is great, its taste is very pleasant.Sugar dough is crispy, and the filling is balanced in terms of sweetness and fruitiness. And Chocolate Entremet is very-verydelicious. The chocolate mousse is great, there is caramel also inside, there is the taste of hazelnuts. I highly recommend thisdessert. We ordered Crab Eggs Benedict, it was a good dish, we were also generally satisfied with its taste. This location isnot bad, but we got the impression that there is not enough space, so you should be prepared that this place is in high demand, there may be delays with your order and that you may not be able to sit on the terrace. The best french bakery in the area for sure. Their best item i have tried so far is the almond croissant. The best breads and... breakfast sandwiches in Menlo Park Downtown Santa Cruz Ave area. Other Madam Collete stores in Palo Alto and Redwood City aregreat as well. Read more
The desserts are quite good but the coffee is so-so. A little bit over priced and the waiters seem to be not in a good mood at... all. Read more
Honestly our group of 4 people didn't get why this place is hyped. We've been there last week for brunch on Saturday and it was... pretty crowded. We've ordered Croissant Bededict and it was less than mediocre, for $18,60 it could taste much better. We'vealso ordered almond croissant that had chocolate inside and i believe marzipan - they were good so 2 stars for it! However their"L'irresistible" dessert was almost tasteless and it didn't impress our group. With that being said coffee was cold - we hadflat white, cappuccino and the cups needed to be changed since they were visibly overused ( their restaurant name were partiallyerased from cup signature and part of the cup was broken) so it wasn't even esthetically pleasing to drink that cold coffee fromthat cup. For L'irresistible dessert waiter didn't bring us any cutlery and after we asked for it - they brought us a plasticspoons)))) not quite fancy. I would like to maybe give them another chance because I was recommended this place and as I seepeople are leaving some good reviews for them. For 1st impression it is VERY overpriced for all those items that we ordered weONLY liked croissant. Read more
Fancy French cafe and bakery in downtown Menlo Park. Has some outdoor as well as indoor seating. Popular for croissants and... pastries. Great presentation. Expect long lines during breakfast/brunch. Read more
The are three if them and this one is really nice. I had avocado toast and it was delicious. My mom's scrambled eggs were good... (nothing exceptional, but hey... they are just scrambled eggs). Love their cold brew coffee and that is something that doesn'thappens often, because I have a habit of using freshly roasted beans of a good quality at home. Read more
