Went on a Sunday night. A prior review made me be sure to look out for problematic decorations that exceeded food. What a... relief. The shrimp taco was the size of my hand which was definitely less than the decorations on the wall. Problemaverted. Then I remembered to look out for food that wasn?t ready the instant I paid. Then I remembered this isn?t fast-food,so my 20 minute wait for non-fast-food was totally reasonable. Oh and then my biggest fear. Nachos that were messy. I orderedthem anyway crossing my fingers. Service was friendly and competent. The line to order was going to the front door, but I didnotice at least a dozen employees working and they we?re taking care of customers. The friendly cashier warned us it would takeabout 20 minutes, and it did but that?s expected for?well you know?.food. Servers were very attentive and friendly in bringingour food out, and later checking on us. I loved the shrimp Michi taco. Fillings were hearty, and flavorful. The tortilla washomemade. The nachos were also great especially the carne asada, the chorizo refried beans, and the fried cheese topping. (Yesthe nachos were messy, but then I remembered that nachos are SUPPOSED to be messy! I?m so glad they didn?t serve all the nachotoppings into bento boxes just to appease a reviewer with an agenda.) Definitely worth coming back to. Read more
I completely enjoyed my Michi fries with carnitas. I came in for an order to go. Not online. Walk in. The young man who took my... order asked me to select a tip amount. Umm. I selected zero because I was going to give a cash tip. When I put cash in the tipjar he said you know these tips are devided amongst ALL of us. I get it I worked in the food industry, so I get it. I justpicked up my food no extra service. I gave 6 dollars. I felt like he was tip shaming me for a higher tip. 18 50 for Michi fries.Enough to easily share. Read more
Our 1st time here. They don't play on the tacos, they load them up. I got the carne asada burrito which was absolutely... delightful. You know for those of us who grew up with Baja fresh...and Rubios it was almost like a cross between those places...Ordering the simple and straightforward I very much like the simplicity of the menu. It's a bit more upscale than your regular24 hour drive-through status post hangover burrito making place. At $12 for a burrito and 3.49 for a taco I wouldnt say it'scheap, but there's good value for what you're getting. Everything tasted fresh and well put together! Read more
Wow, just wow. The flavors were amazing! I?ve had good birria before but this was just the cherry on top. All the flavors were... popping and the salsas were very good too. Compliments to the chefs. And great job to their friendly staff. Read more
Amazing! Great staff and service. The flavor of the food is out of this world and you have to keep in mind it is NOT traditional... Mexican food. I had the Birria Burrito and the amazing flavor is still lingering in my mouth. Good prices for beers and thedecor is so cool. I highly recommend trying it out!!! This is a descent place for quick tacos if you?re in a hurry. Otherwise, hold out for a place with better quality tacos ????and... beer ????. I tried four different types of tacos and a Michelada. The Michelada was watered down with a half-ton of ice they putin it. As for the meal, they served me some complimentary chips and salsa at the table. The salsa was completely without flavor.Miserably bland! I had to ask for some salt to try to salvage a little flavor. The buche taco had some dried out meat and ametric ton of onions. The lengua taco was juicy and delicious with avocado salsa. Again, onions were splashed all over (quiteexcess). The cabeza taco was succulent and full of flavor (reason for two stars). Lastly, I tried the birria taco with consomé(dipping soup- think au jus for a taco). The meat was dried out (overcooked) and again, full of onions. Lastly, the tortitasdisintegrated as I ate the tacos. Overall, the place is neat and well maintained; however, the staff are less than enthusiasticabout helping customers and very slow to accomplish tasks. Read more
I absolutely love this place. If you want quality food go here! I don't understand why people complain about the wait time.... Everything is made to order...fresh tortillas that taste amazing and the birria taco is my favorite! If you wait one hour for 3tacos that's because there's 30 tickets in front of your 3 taco order. I've been a fan of Michi's Tacos since the first time I visited. The tacos are flavorful and authentically Mexican. I love their... selection of ingredients and the atmosphere is always friendly and inviting. I'm always satisfied with the service I receive andeverything always tastes fresh and delicious.
